In January this year, a sudden outbreak of the novel coronavirus epidemic in China has become the focus of world attention. In the recent days, the leaders of some countries and heads of international organizations sent messages or other means to actively appreciate and support China's efforts to fight the novel coronavirus.
3月12日, 中外新闻社“新型冠状病毒疫情防控—对话各国驻华大使” 栏目组来到亚美尼亚驻华使馆，中外新闻社总编辑韦燕一行对话亚美尼亚驻华大使谢尔盖阁下。谢尔盖大使谈到，2月3日，亚美尼亚总统、总理分别致函中华人民共和国主席和总理，对中国爆发新型冠状病毒感染的肺炎疫情表达诚挚的慰问。对中国政府采取有力措施战胜疫情充满信心。千百年来, 中国历经无数挑战和考验, 总能化险为夷。相信中国一定能消除疫情造成的严重后果, 恢复安宁祥和。亚美尼亚将与中国和中国人民并肩一起抗击疫情。
March 12th, Home and Abroad News Press “The Novel Coronavirus Epidemic Prevention and Control --- Dialogue with Foreign Ambassadors to China” serial interview program came to the Armenian embassy. Mrs. Wei Yan, the President of Home and Abroad News Press, had a close dialogue with the Armenian Ambassador to China, H.E. Mr. Sergey Manassarian. He said that: “the Armenian President and Prime Minister sent messages to Chinese President and Prime Minister to express the most sincere regards to China for the novel coronavirus outbreak. We are very confident that the Chinese government will take effective measures to manage this epidemic. Over the past thousand years, China has experienced numerous challenges and tests, and has always been able to survive from many challenges. I believe that China will certainly eliminate the serious consequences of this novel coronavirus epidemic and restore peace and tranquility in the near future. “Hello Ambassador! We have learnt that the Armenian President expressed that Armenia supports China to fight against the coronavirus together, and the Armenian people and the Chinese people will always stay together. He believes that Chinese economy will be improved with great momentum after the epidemic is over. "A friend in need is a friend indeed." We would like to express our heartfelt thanks on the behalf of all Chinese people. What is your focus of attention on the epidemic situation of novel coronavirus infection in China? Thank you!” we asked the ambassador.
大使：疫情对中国经济短期冲击可能会有影响，但是不会改变中国经济发展趋势。中国疫情从爆发的第一天起，亚美尼亚使馆密切关注以下问题: 我们首先抵制疫情的虚假新闻，那些试图在中国国内及国外引起恐慌的信息我们认真辨别，我们大使馆每天把准确的信息传递给我的国家，让我的国家第一时间了解中国抗击疫情的进展情况，为居住在中国的亚美尼亚公民提供最大的领事、信息和技术援助。
Ambassador: The epidemic probably will have negative impacts on Chinese economy in the short run; however, it will not change the development momentum of Chinese economy in the future. From the first day of the outbreak, the Armenian Embassy's attention was focused on the following issues: firstly, we strictly deny fake news, given the fact that the providers of fake news were trying to provoke panic both inside and outside China. We gather and transfer accurate and timely information back to our country and let our country to learn about the newly development of China’s fight against the novel coronavirus. We also provide maximum consular, information and technical assistance to Armenian citizens residing or temporarily residing in China.
“中国同国际社会加强合作，共同应对疫情，维护全球公共卫生安全您有哪些建议？”
“What are your proposals for strengthening cooperation between China and the international community to jointly respond to this epidemic emergency and maintain global public health and safety?”
大使：从抗击病毒的第一天起，中国就表现出很强烈的责任感和与国际社会合作的意愿。在这个特殊时期，中国不仅向国际社会提供了疫情绝对的透明度，而且还提供了有关新治疗方案的广泛信息，中国向受病毒影响最严重的一些国家提供了技术和物质援助，更重要的是中国还向世界卫生组织提供的2000万美元援助。在这种情况下，加强国际合作是非常重要。
Ambassador: From the very first days of its fight against the virus, China has shown high responsibility and willingness to cooperate with the international community. In this difficult period, China has provided not only absolute transparency but also extensive information on new treatment options to the international community. China also provided both technical and material assistance to a number of countries affected most by the coronavirus, if not to mention the assistance you provided to the WHO in sum of USD $20 million. Under this circumstance, enhancing international cooperation is extremely important.

大使：习近平主席带领中国政府和人民在成功控制国内疫情的同时，有效阻止疫情向其他国家扩散，为维护世界公共卫生安全尽心尽责。中国政府对于包括亚美尼亚使馆在内的在中国的所有外交使团，都已获得疫情的全面准确信息，在这方面，我们特别感谢中国外交部和北京市政府。外国外交官的健康状况，一直是外交部关注的焦点。
Ambassador: Led by President Xi Jinping, Chinese government and people successfully prevented and controlled the epidemic in the country and effectively stopped the virus spread to other countries, which is to protect and maintain global public health safety. For all diplomatic missions in China, including the Embassy of Armenia, a comprehensive information about the virus has been available. In this respect, it is a must to express special gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and to the Beijing Municipality. The health condition of foreign diplomats has always been in the center of the attention of Chinese Foreign Ministry.
