On June 8th, during Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova H.E. Vladimir Bolea’s visit in China, Moldovan red wine tasting event was held at Beijing Hopson Club. Invited by Moldovan Ambassador to China H.E. Mr. Dumitru Braghis, President of Home and Abroad News Press Mrs. Wei Yan attended the tasting event along with other Moldovan government officials and guests. State Secretary and Vice Minister of Ministry of Agricultural and Food Industry of Republic of Moldova Mr. Andrian Digolean made keynote promotion speech.

Moldova has a long history in the red wine industry with a large market share in the international red wine market. 杜米特鲁•贝拉基什大使表示，摩尔多瓦的红酒在中国市场日益走俏。中国是摩尔多瓦葡萄酒的首个亚洲市场，每年交付约900万瓶。他认为，随着中国国际影响力的扩大、新生活方式的推广以及中等收入群体购买力的增强，中国将会成为摩尔多瓦在亚太地区最大的葡萄酒消费市场和分销中心。
Ambassador Dumitru Braghis also said that Moldovan red wine is becoming increasingly popular in the Chinese market. China is Moldova’s first Asian market for wine, delivering about 9 million bottles annually. He believes that with China’s expanding international influence, the promotion of new lifestyles, and the increasing purchasing power of middle-income groups, China will become Moldova’s largest wine consumption market and distribution center in the Asia-Pacific region.

When President Wei Yan and Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir discussed that Moldova’s strategic advantage, which can be considered as a favorable ‘business and investment incubator’ for the Belt and Road Initiative as well as a ‘transit point’ for Chinese goods to be sold to the EU market. The two sides will further expand their friendship circles to enhance exchanges between the Chinese and Moldovan people, and promote more cooperation between the two countries!
随着上合组织和“一带一路”国家间经贸往来不断密切，摩尔多瓦越来越多的产品也来到中国。“就在今年，中国海关和摩尔多瓦的相关国家机构签订协议，扩大摩尔多瓦产品出口到中国。”杜米特鲁•贝拉基什大使表示，未来两国经贸合作大有潜力可挖，他希望有更多摩尔多瓦产品进入中国市场。
As economic and trade exchanges between SCO and Belt and Road countries become more and more active, many Moldovan products are coming to China. “Just this year, China Customs and relevant state agencies in Moldova signed an agreement to expand Moldova’s exports to China.” said Ambassador Dumitru Braghis. He believes that there is great potential for future economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and hopes that more Moldovan products will enter the Chinese market.
