On January 30, a farewell reception for the Ambassador of Moldova to China H.E. Mr. Dumitru Braghis was held in Beijing. President of Home and Abroad News Press Ms. Wei Yan, Vice President Mr. Alan Zhang and Director of the International Culture Department Ms. Virginia Ma were invited to attend the event. During the event, President Wei Yan and H.E. Mr. Dumitru Braghis exchanged views on deepening cultural and economic cooperation between China and Moldova, preserving the friendship between the two nations, and expressed anticipation for the establishment of a Moldova branch of Home and Abroad News Press in the country.

Ambassador Dumitru Braghis is a key member of the Home and Abroad News Press Ambassadors Club. In July 2023, he visited Henan Province with the Ambassadors Club, where he received a warm welcome from the Party committees and governments of Henan Province and Zhengzhou City. The ambassador engaged in cooperation with local enterprises and businesses, advancing the bilateral partnership guided by dialogue, mutual respect, and shared interests. Ambassador Dumitru Belaghiș remarked, “China has always been a country that challenges my perspective, broadens my understanding, and enriches my experience as a diplomat and as an individual.”

During her exchange with Ambassador Dumitru Braghis, President Wei Yan noted that during his tenure, he actively promoted practical cooperation between China and Moldova in fields such as culture, arts, trade, and investment. He particularly facilitated the entry of Moldovan specialty products, including Moldovan wine, into the Chinese market, building a solid bridge for cultural exchanges between the two nations.

The attendees appreciated Ambassador Dumitru Braghis’ contributions to the development of China-Moldova friendly relations. They highly commended his efforts in advancing bilateral ties during his tenure, emphasizing that China upholds the principle of equality among all nations regardless of size, strength, or wealth. China is committed to fostering friendly cooperation with countries worldwide, including Moldova, to promote the building of a new type of international relations and a community with a shared future for mankind. They expressed hope that Ambassador Dumitru Braghis would continue to care for and support the cause of China and Moldova’s friendship after his departure.

Ambassador Dumitru Braghis spoke highly of the remarkable achievements China has made under the strong leadership of President Xi Jinping. He reiterated Moldova's commitment to developing relations with China, adhering to the One-China principle, and working together with China to achieve greater progress in bilateral relations.

President Wei Yan stated that Home and Abroad News Press has established branches, news centers, and correspondent offices in 76 countries and regions worldwide. She expressed anticipation for establishing a branch office in Moldova, to which Ambassador Dumitru Braghis extended his welcome and support. He mentioned that he looks forward to the Home and Abroad News Press team establishing a presence in Moldova.
在中国任职期间，贝拉基什大使去过中国很多城市，就是没有去过内蒙古，韦燕表示，下次贝拉基什访问中国时，一定亲自带他去内蒙古考察和旅游，中外新闻社愿意推动中国同摩尔多瓦友好关系贡献我们的智慧和力量。
During his tenure in China, Ambassador Dumitru Braghis visited numerous Chinese cities but had yet to travel to Inner Mongolia. Wei Yan said that during his next visit to China, she would personally take him on an inspection tour and sightseeing trip to Inner Mongolia. Home and Abroad News Press expressed its willingness to contribute wisdom and strength to advancing friendly relations between China and Moldova.
