出席晚会的各位中国官员、各国驻华大使、各位朋友，大家晚上好。
Dear Chinese Officials, foreign ambassadors and envoys to China and dear friends, good evening!
今天是我很荣幸，能够参加中外新闻社13周年庆典以及《中外新闻》年度新闻人物的颁奖典礼，这是我个人的荣誉，也是我国家的荣誉，我非常感谢中国中外新闻社。
Today, I am really honored to attend the 13th Anniversary Ceremony of Home and Abroad News Press and the Awarding Ceremony of the “News Person of the Year”. This is not just my personal honor, but also the honor for my country. I deeply thank Home and Abroad News Press.
中外新闻社一直不断地推进中国与我们国家之间的友谊。看到中国和塞内加尔是1971年建立的外交关系。从建交之后到今天，两国之间的关系不断的得到友好发展。在2005年两国的关系进入了加速的发展阶段。两国之间也有很多的合作项目在不同的领域里面得到很大的增进和发展。在上个月，塞内加尔的总统到访中国，两国领导人之间的会面，明确了下一步两国之间的一个合作和发展的前景。中国和塞内加尔之间的双边关系，乃至于成为中国和非洲关系的一个典范。
Home and Abroad News Press has pushed forward the friendship between China and Senegal. The two countries established diplomatic relations since 1971. In the past 43 years, the relationship has grown positively and rapidly developed in 2005. Many joint projects in the various sectors were established and succeeded in China and Senegal. Last month, the president of Senegal visited China, the leaders of both countries arranged for a special meeting to explore and discuss the cooperation and development opportunities going forward. The friendly bilateral relationship between China and Senegal has already become the role model for other China and African countries’ relationships.
在塞内加尔即将开设中国文化中心，在那里孔子学院已经在正式运行。塞内加尔也作为中国公民指定的旅游国，也加速了对中国人民签证方面的一些便捷，这一切所有的计划都是在两个相互之间的协议里面。所以，基于两国相互之间建立的友谊，我们要继续努力把两国之间的关系建立的更好。我可以看到两国之间的潜力无限。在这一方面，我们可以肯定中外新闻社以后的职责和贡献，还有在场的所有媒体同仁，致力于不断推进中国和塞内加尔两国之间的双边关系，而且能够推动世界和平和文化和谐的一个积极的功能。
A Chinese Cultural Centre is set to open in Senegal in the near future. The Confucius Institute has already opened for operation. As a designated tourism country for Chinese citizens, Senegal will offer more convenience in visa application process for Chinese people. All related programs are in the bilateral agreements between the two countries. Based on our strong friendship, we will make the bilateral relationship better and I can see the great potentials between the two countries. From this perspective, we can give full credits to Home and Abroad News Press for its dedication and contributions and all media channels here tonight. The media will not only promote the relationship between China and Senegal, but also play a positive role to maintain harmonious cultural environment with world peace.
这里我要再次的感谢中外新闻社和在座的各位不断的推动中国和塞内加尔之间的合作所作出的贡献，非常感谢大家的支持，谢谢。
