首先，我想对中外新闻社社长韦燕女士表示衷心的感谢，感谢她邀请我参加此次活动，并提名我成为2024年中外新闻社“年度新闻人物”奖的获得者之一。
First of all, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the President of Home and Abroad News Press, Mrs. Wei Yan for inviting me to this event and nominating me as one of the recipients of the “News Person of the Year” award for 2024.
在每一个国家，媒体都是治理体系的四大支柱之一，它引导政府的职能，确保有效执行规则和法规，同时检查和平衡治理体系的问责和责任。
In every country, media plays as the 4th pillar of the main features of the governance system which steers the functions of the government ensuring efficient implementation of the rules and regulations while check and balancing the accountability and responsibility of the governance system.
然而，由于如今使用社交媒体平台的流行趋势，假新闻、误导性信息、仇恨言论和谣言大量传播，破坏了小区的和平与安全。因此，确保媒体的正确来源，向公众传播真实和准确的信息，并促进人民的社会经济生活的发展，变得至关重要。
However, due to the trend of popularity in the usage of social media platforms nowadays, fake news, misinformation, hate speech, and rumor have been circulating enormously undermining peace and security among the communities. Therefore, it has become crucial to ensure proper sources of media, disseminating true and accurate information to the public and contribute development of the socio-economic lives of the people.
女士们，先生们，就缅甸与中国之间的关系而言，实际上超越了传统的外交关系，深深植根于“胞波”或兄弟情谊。作为邻邦，缅中两国山水相连，历史和文化渊源深厚，各方面合作密切。缅甸联邦共和国和中华人民共和国于1950年6月8日正式建交，两国在相互尊重、相互信任、相互帮助的基础上不断发展关系。
Ladies and gentlemen, as far as the relationship between Myanmar and China is concerned, it actually transcends traditional diplomatic relations and is deeply rooted in “brotherhood” or fraternity. As neighboring countries, Myanmar and China are connected by mountains and rivers, have deep historical and cultural links, and cooperate closely in various aspects. The Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the People's Republic of China formally established diplomatic relations on June 8, 1950, and the two countries have continued to develop their relations on the basis of mutual respect, mutual trust and mutual assistance.
2013年，中国和缅甸在相互尊重、平等互利的基础上建立了全面战略合作伙伴关系，并深化了政治、经济、贸易、文化、人文和军事等领域的交流与合作。中国是缅甸的好邻居，缅方十分珍视缅中友谊。一直以来，孟中印缅通道沿线国家积极发展贸易合作、货物运输、互联互通，希望通过此次论坛，探索出更好的合作方向和方式，各国在农业、投资、经贸、文化、通关便利化、口岸对等开放、劳务合作等方面加强沟通交流，实现互利共赢。
In 2013, China and Myanmar developed comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit and deepened exchanges and cooperation in political, economic, trade, cultural, people-to-people and military fields. China is a good neighbor of Myanmar, and the Myanmar side treasures the friendship between Myanmar and China. All along, countries along the Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar corridor have been actively developing trade cooperation, cargo transportation and connectivity, and it is hoped that through this forum, better directions and ways of cooperation will be explored, and that the countries will strengthen communication and exchange in the areas of agriculture, investment, economic and trade, culture, customs clearance facilitation, reciprocal opening of border crossings, and cooperation in the area of labor services, so as to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.

Distinguished Guests, ladies and gentlemen,
在COVID-19大流行后，中缅高层访问频繁。2024年，中国外交部长王毅、外交部副部长孙维东先生和特使邓锡军先生分别对缅甸进行了正式访问。从缅甸方面来说，缅甸前总统登盛先生访问北京，与20位前国家元首和政府首脑以及来自100个国家、国际组织、外交官、媒体和商界的代表一起参加和平共处五项原则发表70周年纪念活动。
There were frequent high-level visits after the Covid-19 Pandemic. In the year of 2024, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Vice Foreign Minister H.E. Mr. Sun Wei Dong and Special Envoy H.E. Mr. Deng Xijun paid the official visits to Myanmar respectively. From Myanmar side, Myanmar former President H.E. Mr. Thein Sein paid a visit to Beijing to attend the ceremony of 70th anniversary of Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence together with 20 former Heads of State and Government and representatives from 100 countries, international organizations, diplomats, media and business communities.
我们愿意更好发挥桥梁纽带作用，带动更多缅方企业抢抓中国各个自贸港建设机遇、加强与各个自贸港经贸往来合作，也欢迎中国的朋友们到缅甸观光交流、投资发展，促进双方结出更加丰硕的合作成果。缅中两国有着相似的传统节日和文化传统，相信两国间的“胞波”友谊和兄弟关系会在未来持续蓬勃发展。
We are willing to play a better role as a bridge to encourage more enterprises in Myanmar to seize the opportunities of the construction of China's free trade ports and strengthen economic and trade exchanges and cooperation, and welcome Chinese friends to visit and exchange information, invest and develop in Myanmar, so as to promote more fruitful cooperation between the two sides. With similar traditional festivals and cultural traditions, Myanmar and China believe that the friendship and brotherhood between the two countries will continue to flourish in the future.
