In the colorful autumn Beijing, beautiful views pleased happy moods for all. On September 12, invited by the Ambassador of Slovakia to Chian, H.E. Dr. Peter Lizák, President of Home and Abroad News Press Mrs. Wei Yan together with many foreign ambassadors and international organizations attended the Constitution Day reception in the Ambassador’s residence.

Ambassador of Slovakia to China, H.E. Dr. Peter Lizák, delivered a welcoming speech. He said that it is a great honor for me to welcome you all to the Embassy of Slovakia in China and to celebrate with you the Constitution Day of the Slovak Republic.
今天, 我怀着我满怀自豪的荣耀站在这里, 纪念斯洛伐克历史上三个重要的事件：第一, 庆祝斯洛伐克共和国独立30周年、斯洛伐克民族起义纪念日及宪法日。1992年9月1日, 在捷克斯洛伐克联邦和平解体之后, 斯洛伐克民族委员会通过了现行宪法。斯洛伐克共和国宪法, 制定在1989年“天鹅绒革命”之后, 至今, 仍是斯洛伐克作为一个独立现代国家的基石。宪法的建立是斯洛伐克走向独立国家, 关键的一步。从加入欧盟和北约到成为联合国安理会非常认理事国, 斯洛伐克的外交事业脚踏实地、稳步前进。我们与包括东道国中国在内的世界各国携手努力, 为相互尊重、理解、合作奠定了坚实基础。
It is with pride and honor that I stand here today to commemorate three important events in the history of Slovakia: first, the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Slovak Republic, the anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising, and Constitution Day. On 1 September 1992, following the peaceful dissolution of the Czechoslovak federation, the Slovak Council of the Nation adopted the current Constitution. The Constitution of the Slovak Republic, which was established after the Velvet Revolution in 1989, is still the cornerstone of Slovakia as an independent modern state. The establishment of the Constitution was a key step in the development of Slovakia as an independent state. From joining the EU and NATO to becoming a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, Slovakia has made steady progress in its diplomatic path. Together with the rest of the world, including the host country China, we have laid a solid foundation for mutual respect, understanding and cooperation.
彼得•利扎克大使指出, 在二战期间, 斯洛伐克民族英雄谱写了用勇气、牺牲和自由精神战胜了法西斯压迫的伟大历史篇章。9月1日宪法日标志着我国1992年通过了宪法, 它体现了我们的民族价值观, 我们对民主、人权和法治的承诺。我们的宪法是对我们国家的复原力、团结和对公正社会渴望的生动证明。
Ambassador Peter Lizák noted that during the Second World War, the heroes of the Slovak nation wrote a great chapter in the history of the victory over fascist oppression with courage, sacrifice and the spirit of freedom, and that the Constitution Day on 1 September marked the adoption of the Constitution of our country in 1992, which embodied our national values, our commitment to democracy, human rights and the rule of law. Our Constitution is a living testament to our national resilience, unity and desire for a just society.
彼得•利扎克大使说, 我很高兴的注意到, 今年年初我们与中国重新开启了两国的政治对话。在一系列外交活动中, 我们的外交国务秘书和斯洛伐克议会议长成功的访问了中国, 达成了很好的共识。今天我对在座的各位嘉宾表示感谢, 你们的友谊和伙伴关系, 奠定了我们一起努力建设和平、理解、共同进步和世界的基石。愿我们的宪法精神、我们的外交努力和那些斯洛伐克民族起义的勇敢灵魂的记忆, 继续激励我们共同为人类。共同利益而奋斗, 而努力。
Ambassador Lizák was pleased to note that at the beginning of this year we reopened the political dialog with China. In a series of diplomatic events, our State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and the Speaker of the Slovak Parliament successfully visited China, and reached good consensus. Today I would like to express my gratitude to all our guests here for your friendship and partnership, which is the cornerstone of our joint efforts to build a world of peace, understanding, and common progress. May the spirit of our Constitution, our diplomatic efforts and the memory of those brave souls of the Slovak national uprising continue to inspire us to work together for the common destiny of humanity.

In the back garden of the Ambassador’s residence, the guests applauded the speech of the Ambassador of Slovakia to China, H.E. Dr. Peter Lizák. The ambassadors and guests had good talks during the reception in such beautiful night.
