The year 2020 marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Zimbabwe, and it is an honor for Mr. Martin Chedondo to serve as Zimbabwe's Ambassador to China at this time. 大使首先请小记者们观看一部宣传片, 小记者在宣传片了解到：津巴布韦是位于非洲南部的一个内陆国家, 是一个极具历史和文化底蕴的国家, 同时也是一个拥有众多天然资源的国家。作为非洲大陆上的一颗璀璨明珠, 津巴布围以其经济发展和丰富的自然资源, 成为了非洲大陆的宝贵财富, 并因其辽阔自然景观与美丽绝伦的风景以及独特的文化和传统, 成为最受世界各国观光客欢迎的旅游目的地之一。
The Ambassador first invited the junior journalists to watch a national promotion film, in which they learned more about Zimbabwe. The country is a landlocked state located in the south of Africa with great historical and cultural heritage as well as many natural resources. As a bright pearl on the African continent, Zimbabwe has become a valuable asset of the continent with its economic development and rich natural resources, and it has become one of the most popular tourist destinations for tourists from all over the world because of its vast natural landscapes, stunningly beautiful sceneries, unique culture and traditions.
观看完宣传片, 小记者采访正式开始。“您好, 尊敬的大使阁下！我们小记者能采访您感到非常高兴。您是一位出色的外交官, 曾担任津巴布韦国防情报局局长、后勤和支援服务参谋长等职务, 并获得很多荣誉。您是我们向往的外交官！作为驻华大使, 你认为：两国青少年, 将如何接过传承中津建交44年来的宝贵友谊？谢谢!”小记者问大使。
After watching the promotion video, a junior journalist asked: “Hello, Dear Ambassador! It is a great pleasure for us to have interview with you. You are an accomplished diplomat who has served as Director General of the Zimbabwe Defense Intelligence Agency, Chief of Staff for Logistics and Support Services and many other important positions as well as received a number of honored awards. We are really impressed by your diplomatic careers. As Ambassador to China, in your opinions, how will the youth of the two countries carry on the precious friendship between China and Zimbabwe? Thank you!”
大使感谢中国的小记者对津巴布韦国家和他本人的热情关注。大使谈到, 中津两国友谊深厚, 44年来始终相互支持, 共同发展。目前, 中津关系已经成为中国与非洲国家间合作最紧密的双边关系之一, 中津合作也成为南南合作的典范。我认为, 中津两国青少年首先需要了解认识对方的文化, 尊重不同国家的文化差异, 依托夏令营等互学方式, 打造中津青少年交流“蓄水池”, 增进两国青少年间的友谊与理解。
The Ambassador thanked the Chinese junior journalists for their enthusiastic interest in Zimbabwe and in himself. The Ambassador talked about the deep friendship between China and Zimbabwe, which has always supported each other and developed together over the past 44 years. At present, China-Zimbabwe relations have become one of the most cooperative bilateral relations between China and African countries, and China-Zimbabwe cooperation has become a model of South-South cooperation. In his opinion, the youth of China and Zimbabweshould first understand each other's culture and respect the cultural differences of different countries. Through summer camps and other learning platforms, we should further promote the exchanges between the youth of China and Zimbabwe in order to enhance the friendship and understanding between the two countries.
马丁•切冬多大使在回答小记者“中国同津巴布韦在教育领域还有哪些合作空间？”时, 大使谈到, 津巴布韦和中国持续扩大人文交往, 在教育合作方面也不断迈上新台阶。早在2006年9月29日, 津巴布韦大学与中国人民大学就签订了合作协议, 成立孔子学院。自成立以来, 津大孔院一直致力于汉语与中华文化教学, 如今已得到当地民众的认可, 越来越多的津巴布韦人走进孔子学院开始学习中文。随着中津教育交流的深入, 津巴布韦政府已将汉语纳入当地中小学教育课程, 2023年9月19日, 山西工程职业学院与津巴布韦哈拉雷理工技术学院携手合作, 共同开展应用型人才合作培养项目, 这是两国未来教育领域合作的发展趋势。
When answering the question “What is the cooperation potential between China and Zimbabwe in the field of education?”Ambassador Martin Chedondosaid that China and Zimbabwe have continued to expand humanistic exchanges and have also taken new steps forward in education. As early as September 29, 2006, the University of Zimbabwe (UZ) and Renmin University of China (RUC) signed a cooperation agreement to establish the Confucius Institute. Since its establishment, the Confucius Institute at the University of Zimbabwe has been committed to teaching Chinese language and Chinese culture, which is now recognized by the local people, and more and more Zimbabweans have come into the Confucius Institute to start learning Chinese. With the deepening of educational exchanges between China and Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwean government has included Chinese language in the local primary and secondary education curricula. September 19, 2023, Shanxi Engineering Polytechnic College and Zimbabwe Harare Polytechnic and Technical College joined hands to carry out a cooperative training program for applied talents in cooperative education.
“津巴布韦是非洲野生动物种类和数量都很丰富的国家, 也致力于保护野生动物。我们小记者都很喜欢动物。请问：津巴布韦政府是如何制定政策保护这些野生动物？”小记者问。
“Zimbabwe has so many wildlife species, and it is committed to wildlife conservation. As junior journalists, we love animals every much. May I ask how the Zimbabwe Government has formulated policies to protect these animals?”another junior journalist asked.
大使谈到, 在这里我盛情邀请各位小记者和家长到津巴布韦旅游观光, 津巴布韦一定能够给你们带来惊喜的回忆。津巴布韦自然条件优厚, 资源丰富, 曾被誉为南部非洲的“面包篮子”。2022年, 津巴布韦将2500多种野生动物从南部保护区转移到北部保护区, 以帮助它们免受干旱影响。这是60年来津巴布韦首次开展大规模的野生动物内部迁移。大约有400头大象、2000只黑斑羚、70头长颈鹿、50头水牛、50头角马、50头斑马等野生动物从津巴布韦南部保护区转移到北部的三个保护区: 萨皮、马图萨多尼亚和奇扎里拉。津巴布韦政府非常重视保护野生动物。
The Ambassador said, I would like to invite all journalists and parents to visit Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe will definitely give you unforgettable memories. Zimbabwe is rich in nature and resources, once known as the “breadbasket” of Southern Africa. In 2022, Zimbabwe will transfer more than 2,500 species of wildlife from the southern to the northern reserves to help protect them from drought. This was the first large-scale internal wildlife migration in Zimbabwe in 60 years. About 400 elephants, 2,000 impala, 70 giraffes, 50 buffaloes, 50 wildebeest, 50 wildebeest and 50 zebras have been moved from Zimbabwe's southern reserves to three northern reserves, includingSapi, Matusadonha and Chizarira. The Government of Zimbabwe attaches great importance to the conservation of wildlife.
采访活动结束, 大使重温一段习近平主席的“构建人类命运共同体”的理念, 大使说, 虽然我们的肤色不一样, 但是如果把我们的肤色拿掉的话, 我们的血液、我们的骨头其实都是一样的。在造物主的眼里面, 其实每一个人我们的本质都是一样的, 所以我们必须要懂得如何的去尊重彼此, 我相信：津中两国绝对不会因为文化或者是肤色的不同而产生对立。
At the end of the interview, the ambassador repeated President Xi Jinping's concept of “building a community of human destiny” and said that although our skin colors are different, but if you take away the colors of our skins, our blood, our bones are in fact the same. In the eyes of the Creator, in fact, the essence of each and every one of us are the same, so we must know how to respect each other, I believe that: the two countries will never be antagonistic because of the difference in cultures or skin colors.
