In today’s multicultural society, Home and Abroad News Press has been designated as the mainstream media by three United Nation associated organizations, we introduced “The News Person of the Year” annual prizes to recognize excellent persons who made remarkable contributions to the international society and promoting peace and harmony in the global community for many years. Up to now, as many as 107 foreign ambassadors and diplomats have received this special honor. The 1st winner: Ambassador of Bulgaria to China, H.E. Mr. Andrey Tehov
入选理由：保加利亚驻华大使安德雷伊·特霍夫阁下是一位出色的外交家，2024年1月30日在北京人民大会堂向中国国家主席习近平递交国书, 正式成为保加利亚共和国驻华大使，上任两年来，积极推动保加利亚在环保产业领域深化交流，推动节能环保、可再生能源与固废利用等项目合作，推动中国与保加利亚港口城市探索航运物流、海事服务等务实合作。积极推动中国与保加利亚汽车产业合作进展顺利，2025年1--7月，双边贸易额达25.7亿美元，同比增长23.9%。中国成为保加利亚在欧盟外第二大贸易伙伴。为推动双边关系发展和中保人民友谊做出了重要贡献。
Winning reasons:Ambassador Andrey Tehov is an outstanding diplomat. He presented his credentials to Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on January 30, 2024, and become the Ambassador of Bulgaria to China. During his two years in office, he has actively promoted deeper exchanges between Bulgaria and China in the environmental protection industry, advancing cooperation on projects related to energy conservation, environmental protection, renewable energy, and solid waste utilization. He has also facilitated practical collaboration between Chinese and Bulgarian port cities in shipping logistics and maritime services. He has also actively facilitated progress in automotive industry cooperation between China and Bulgaria. From January to July 2025, bilateral trade volume reached US$2.57 billion, marking a 23.9% year-on-year increase. China has become Bulgaria's second-largest trading partner outside the European Union. His efforts have made significant contributions to advancing bilateral relations and strengthening friendship between the peoples of China and Bulgaria.

The 2nd winner: Ambassador of Pakistan to China, H.E. Mr. Khalil Hashmi
入选理由：巴基斯坦伊斯兰共和国驻华大使哈什米阁下是一位出色的外交家，2019年11月至2023年11月任巴基斯坦常驻联合国代表。2024年1月30日，哈什米大使在北京人民大会堂向中国国家主席习近平递交国书。 哈什米大使将中巴关系定义为“特殊的朋友”，强调两国74年的建交历史建立在“相互信任、相互尊重、相互支持”的原则之上。2025年2月28日，在哈什米推动下，中国载人航天工程办公室与巴基斯坦空间与上层大气委员会在巴基斯坦首都伊斯兰堡，正式签署《关于选拔、训练巴基斯坦航天员并参与中国空间站飞行任务的合作协议》，开启了中巴两国在载人航天领域深化合作的新篇章。此外，中巴又签署85亿美元的新投资协议，启动中巴经济走廊2.0，投资项目涵盖农业、新能源、石化等多领域。

Mr. Khalil Hashmi is an outstanding diplomat who served as Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations from November 2019 to November 2023. He presented the credentials to Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on January 30, 2024. Ambassador Hashmi defined China-Pakistan relations as “special friends”, emphasizing that the 74-year history of diplomatic ties between the two countries is founded on the principles of “mutual trust, mutual respect, and mutual support.” On February 28, 2025, under Ambassador Hashmi's initiative, the China Manned Space Engineering Office and Pakistan's Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission formally signed the Cooperation Agreement on the Selection and Training of Pakistani Astronauts for Participation in China's Space Station Mission in Islamabad. This marked a new chapter in deepening bilateral cooperation in human spaceflight. Additionally, China and Pakistan signed new investment agreements worth $8.5 billion and launched the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor 2.0, with investment projects spanning agriculture, new energy, petrochemicals, and many sectors.

The 3rd winner: Ambassador of Timor-Leste to China, H.E. Mr. Loro Da Silva Horta
入选理由：东帝汶民主共和国驻华大使罗瑞•奥尔塔阁下是一位出色的外交家和经济学家，拥有中国人民解放军国防大学高级军事研究专业学士学位及曾修读美国国防大学和新加坡拉惹勒南国际关系学院的学士课程。2024年1月30日在北京人民大会堂向中国国家主席习近平递交国书, 正式成为东帝汶民主共和国驻华大使。在罗瑞•奥尔塔推动下，2025年10月26日东帝汶在东盟各国领导人的共同见证下正式成为东盟第11个成员国。东帝汶正式加入东南亚国家联盟（ASEAN），证明东帝汶的毅力及其致力于在区域和国际政治中保持强大和受人尊敬形象的承诺。
Winning reasons: Ambassador of Timor-Leste to China H.E. Mr. Loro Da Silva Horta is an accomplished diplomat and economist. He holds a bachelor's degree in Advanced Military Studies from the National Defense University of the People's Liberation Army of China and has completed undergraduate programs at the U.S. National Defense University and the Rajaratnam School of International Studies in Singapore. On January 30, 2024, He presented to credentials to Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, and become the Ambassador of Timor-Leste to China. Under his leadership, Timor-Leste formally became the 11th member state of ASEAN on October 26, 2025, witnessed by leaders of all ASEAN nations. Timor-Leste's official accession to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) demonstrates its perseverance and commitment to maintaining a strong and respected presence in regional and international politics.

Based on his outstanding contributions to the friendly relations between our two nations since the resumption of diplomatic ties. He has become a central force in deepening bilateral relations. His efforts have played a pivotal role in advancing the establishment of a new international order for China and Africa, injecting fresh vitality into China-Senegal cooperation in the new era. Under his leadership, the Joint Statement of the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Senegal on Deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and Building a High-Level Community of Shared Future between China and Senegal was issued in September 2024. He made significant contributions to advancing bilateral relations and strengthening the friendship between the Chinese and Senegalese peoples.

The 5th winner: Ambassador of Cabo Verde to China, H.E. Mr. Arlindo Do Rosario
入选理由：佛得角驻华大使阿林多·多罗萨里奥阁下是一位出色的外交家和医学专家，曾任佛得角国家卫生部部长。2023年4月24日在北京人民大会堂向中国国家主席习近平递交国书, 正式成为佛得角共和国驻华大使，特别是凭借其对中佛合作内核的深刻把握与务实行动，成为推动两国关系深化的核心力量，其外交实践既延续了两国传统友谊，积极推动中国同佛得角在健康，教育，基础设施和安全等领域展开深度合作，2025年1-9月中国与佛得角双边货物进出口额为92732.24千美元，相比上年同期增长8654.61千美元，同比增长10.4%。为推动双边关系发展和中佛人民友谊做出了重要贡献。
Winning reasons: Ambassador of Cabo Verde to China, H.E. Mr. Arlindo Do Rosario is an outstanding diplomat and medical expert who previously served as Minister of Health of Cape Verde.
He presented the credentials to President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on April 24, 2023, and become the Ambassador of Cabo Verde to China. Based on his outstanding contributions to the friendly relations between our two nations, particularly through the profound understanding of the core principles of China-Cabo Verde cooperation and pragmatic actions, he has been a pivotal force in deepening bilateral ties. He actively promoted in-depth collaboration between China and Cabo Verde in areas such as health, education, infrastructure, and security. From January to September 2025, bilateral goods trade between China and Cabo Verde reached a year-on-year growth of 10.4%. He made significant contributions to advancing bilateral relations and strengthening the friendship between the Chinese and Cabo Verdean peoples.
第6位：马拉维驻华大使艾伦约瑟夫·钦泰扎阁下
The 6th winner: Ambassador of Malawi to China, H.E. Mr. Allan Joseph Chintedza

He presented the credentials to President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China in Beijing on April 24, 2023, and become the Ambassador of Malawi to China. Based on his outstanding contributions to the friendly relations between our two nations, particularly through his profound understanding of the core principles of China-Malawi cooperation and your pragmatic actions, he has become a pivotal force in deepening bilateral ties. Cooperation between Malawi and China in the infrastructure sector has yielded remarkable results. Similarly, Malawi and China have achieved fruitful outcomes in education and healthcare fields. Through Chinese training programs, numerous Malawian doctors and medical professionals have mastered advanced medical technologies. In the first half of 2025, bilateral trade in goods between China and Malawi reached a 64.6% increase compared to the same period last year. He opened a new chapter for China-Malawi cooperation.
