由中国文化部和北京市政府主办，中国音乐学院承办的第四届北京传统音乐节10月3日—25日在北京举行。主办方邀请包括伊朗、埃及、印度、孟加拉国、马来西亚、保加利亚、秘鲁等国家的乐队和中国著名的乐队7日在中国音乐学院举行了开幕式并进行了精彩表演，此次活动进一步促进了国际传统音乐的交流，展示了中国和世界各民族原生态的传统音乐精品。

Sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and the Beijing Municipal Government and organized by the China Academy of Music, the Fourth Beijing Traditional Music Festival was held in the capital city of China from October 3rd to 25th. The organizer invited national bands from Iran, Egypt, India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Bulgaria, Peru and other countries as well as Chinese famous bands to perform the opening ceremony in the China Academy of Music on the 7th. This international festival further promoted the exchanges of traditional music and showed the uniqueness of the traditional music around the world.

此次音乐节的主题是《大河颂》，10月9日、12日，伊朗纳格卖萨兹传统乐队分别在中央音乐学院、北京大学演出，伊朗外交官及其家属、在京伊朗留学生及北大师生应邀出席。

The theme of this traditional music festival is "River Song". On October 9th and 12th, the Iranian traditional band performed several shows in the Central Conservatory of Music and Beijing University. Iranian diplomats and their families, Iranian students in Beijing as well as the teachers and students from Beijing University enjoyed the performances.

Before the performance, the Cultural Counsellor of the Iranian Embassy Mr. Hossein Jalilvand gave a brief speech about the Iranian culture music.

贾里万德说：文化是人类的重要产物，信仰、艺术、论理、民俗、习惯等都属于文化的范畴，是人类在历史长河中通过实践而创造的。人类生活在社会群体中，每个社会都有各自的独特文化，约束着其成员的生活方式和社交行为，并使之与其他社会有所区别。

Mr. Hossein Jalilvand said that culture is an important element for human beings. Belief, arts, ethics, folks and custom all belong to the definition of culture. It was created by human practice during the long history. People lived together in social groups, and then every society created its own unique culture that binds its members' lifestyles and social behaviors. Therefore, the cultures are so different from each other in diverse societies.

在各民族的文化形成中，音乐占有很高的地位，可以说，音乐不仅是一个民族文化的代表，而且是文化产生的重要要素之一。根据对音乐和文化历史的研究，不难发现，在整个历史长河中，音乐始终是一个民族的思想、文化和哲学的阐释者和传承者。

Music occupies a high position in the formation of different cultures. In other words, music is not only the symbol of a national culture, but also it is a key component in creating its culture. According to the studies on the history of music and culture, music has always been a nation's interpreter and inheritor of a nation’s ideology, culture and philosophy.

伊朗和中国都是享有数千年历史的文明古国，两国音乐淳朴而情浓，是两国文化之骄傲，应当弘扬和交流。

Both Iran and China have thousands of year’s ancient civilizations. The music of the two countries is pure and emotional and considered as the pride of their own culture. Therefore, promotion and exchanges of Iran and China’s music are must. 

贾里万德的讲话引起了与会嘉宾的共鸣。此次北京传统音乐节设立了个人太极奖和保护和传承传统音乐幸运奖，印度、美国和中国的艺人和作家获此殊荣。

来自各国的艺术家们共同凑响了和谐、发展、和平、进步的旋律。

Mr. Hossein Jalilvand's speech attracted guests’ resonance. The Beijing Traditional Music Festival had “Tai Chi Award” and “Heritage Traditional Music Award” and other special awards. The artists and song writers from India, U.S. and China received these honors. This meaningful event brought peace, harmony and progress to the world through beautiful traditional music.
