Dear fellow Ambassadors to China, and honored guests, ladies and gentlemen, Good evening!
我是毛里求斯驻华大使， 首先请允许我代表毛里求斯驻华使馆向中外新闻社创立13周年表示祝贺！
I am the Mauritius Ambassador to China. On the behalf of the Mauritius Embassy in China, please allow me to firstly congratulate to the 13th Anniversary of Home and Abroad News Press!
毛里求斯是位于非洲一个非常美丽的岛国，中国和毛里求斯的关系可以追溯到十八世纪，两国1972年4月15日正式建交之后，中国的第一个对外交流文化中心是在毛里求斯落成的，基于两国之间的关系友好发展，两国之间也不断的相互融合，所以我可以说，毛里求斯是一个对中国非常友好的一个国家。
Mauritius is a beautiful island country in Africa. The relationship between China and Mauritius dated back to the 17th century. Since the two countries established diplomatic relations on April 15th 1972, the first ever Chinese Cultural Exchange Centre was opened in Mauritius. Based on the friendly interactions and relationship development in various aspects between China and Mauritius, I am confident to say that Mauritius is a great companion to China.
毛里求斯是第一个中国游客和商人可以免签证的国家。毛里求斯的国家和人民也庆祝中国的春节，在毛里求斯可以看到很多关于中国文化和中国餐馆，所以呢，可以看出两国之间的相互融入和渗透是相当紧密的。
Mauritius is the first visa-free country for Chinese tourists and merchants. Our people also celebrate Chinese New Year in Mauritius. Many Chinese restaurants and places in Mauritius are deeply connected to Chinese culture. We can see that the integration between China and Mauritius is so close and strongly interconnected in many aspects.
在我在任大使的八年时间里，我一直不断的推动中国与毛里求斯在经贸、文化、旅游之间的合作。旅游业是毛里求斯一个非常重要的经济组成部分，今天让我在这里介绍毛里求斯的旅游的话几分钟是不够的，我也很诚挚的邀请大家去毛里求斯去旅游，感受我们国家的美丽和文化。
During my eight years of being an Ambassador in China, I have continuously pushed for cooperation between the two countries in many areas, such as business trading, cultural exchanges and tourism. Tourism is a very important economic pillar of Mauritius, and my short speech today is not enough to describe all beautiful attractions of Mauritius. I sincerely invite everyone to visit Mauritius and experience the lovely nature and culture of that island country.
