尊敬的韦燕女士，各国大使，各国使节，尊敬的各位来宾，女士们，先生们，晚上好！

Dear distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen,
Good evening!
今天我深感荣幸地来到这里，接受《中外新闻》时代人物这个奖项，这是对我的鼓励，也是对我致力于推动中国与津巴布韦之间的合作和友谊的认可。我深感荣幸。在这里我非常诚挚的感谢中外新闻社社，我非常珍惜今天晚上这个平台，因为通过这个平台，人和人的距离相互拉近了，也让我了解到属于各国文化，属于中国的特有的东西。
I feel honoured today to receive 'The News Person of the Year' prize given by Home and Abroad News Press. This special award is great recognition and encouragement to the work I have done to strengthen the relationship and cooperation between China and Zimbabwe. I want to thank Home and Abroad News Press for organizing the event tonight. Through this wonderful event, the distance and barriers between people from different cultures and countries are removed and we can learn a lot from other countries and cultures as well as the unique things about China.
中国和津巴布韦之间的建交关系可以追加到1982年，津巴布韦国家是一个非常年轻，充满活力的国家，当时我荣幸能来中国，见到邓小平先生--中国改革的总设计师，所以我非常的感动。
The diplomatic relations of China and Zimbabwe dated back to 1982. At that time, Zimbabwe was a very young and energetic country. I was fortunate and honoured to meet Mr. Deng Xiaoping when I came to China, that meeting still deeply touched my heart greatly.
中国与津巴布韦之间的关系每一年都得到不断的提升。近几年中国与津巴布韦之间推动了很多合作计划，使得津巴布韦从一个殖民地不断的发展自己的经济。作为津巴布韦驻华大使，我也得到了中国政府、中国人民及媒体同仁的支持，像加纳大使一样，我也曾经到过中国的28个城市，以此致力于推动双边的友谊和合作。
The friendship between China and Zimbabwe has been gradually improving in the past decades. Over the recent year, many joint projects have been pushed forward, and Zimbabwe was able to develop its own economy as a colonized land in the past. As the Zimbabwe Ambassador to China, I have received support from the Chinese government, Chinese people, and many media organizations. Similar to the Ghana Ambassador to China, I have visited 28 cities in China with the intention to stimulate greater cooperation and friendship from both countries.
目前，中国企业到津巴布韦投资设厂发展越来越多，在经贸旅游方面两国有更多的交流和合作，中国政府也把津巴布韦指定为中国游客旅游的一个国家，同时在津巴布韦的大学里也设立了中国孔子学院，推动了两国在文化领域的交流。中国的崛起和发展，对津巴布韦是一个巨大的推动。
Currently, there are increasing number of Chinese corporations investing in Zimbabwe and establish factories there. The two nations have greater interactions in economy and tourism. The Chinese government also made Zimbabwe as one of the designated tourist countries for Chinese nationals. Moreover, the Confucius Institute was established in Zimbabwe University to promote more cultural exchanges between the two countries. China's strong and rapid development is a key driver to Zimbabwe in many aspects.
