In the beautiful March spring with gorgeous weather and blooming flowers, the remarkable national congresses just completed this week. On March 17th, we are celebrating the 18th Anniversary Ceremony of Home and Abroad News Press here in Beijing with Chinese and foreign envoys from 22 countries. Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries sent flowers to express congratulations. We are together with different skin colors, different languages, different religions and voices to not only share the great development achievements of our motherland, but also create more momentum to the world through our “News Diplomacy”.

She said that China’s “Belt and Road Initiative” has been widely accepted by over 100 countries and international organizations. Many of them listed the “Belt and Road Initiative” into the top priority agendas to promote information exchanges, peace keeping, friendship development and international cooperation. The progress of “Belt and Road Initiative” cannot be succeeded without the support from the governments and people around the world as well as the support of all media. Therefore, Home and Abroad News Press plays an important role in the international stage.

At the ceremony, the Former Deputy Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, Mr. Li Beihai, spoke highly about Home and Abroad News Press. September 2018, the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation was held in Beijing. Nearly 50 African heads of state, government leaders, delegation heads, the Chairman of the African Union Commission, foreign ministers and relevant officials attended the forum and the ministerial meetings. Home and Abroad News Press was the designated mainstream media for the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation to better promote China and Africa friendship and create positive energy to the world peace. On August 9th, organized by Home and Abroad News Press, the Junior Journalist Delegation visited the Beninese embassy in China. The delegation members made generous donations for the out-of-school girls in Benin. Every junior journalist also wrote a letter to those girls. This charity action is not only a precious gift for the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, but also important to change the history of out-of-school girls in Benin. On June 12th, 2018, Home and Abroad News Press hosted a cooperation symposium for the Western African countries in the International Conference Hall of the Kuntai Jiahua Hotel in Beijing. The Ambassador of Benin to China H.E. Mr. Simon Pierre Adovelande, together with the Ambassador of Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Mali, Niger, Togo and Guinea-Bissau and business counselors attended the meeting. The delegation head of the Western African Union and the Ambassador to Mali to China H.E.
