The Embassy of Pakistan in China hosted an “Embassy Exhibition and Tree-Planting Ceremony” to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to China H.E. Mr. Abdulrahman Ahmad Al-Harbi, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to China , H.E. Mr. Majintha Joseph Priye Jayesinghe, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to China H.E. Mr. Hussam A.G. Al Husseini, Ambassador of Niger to China H.E. Mr. Garba Seyni, Ambassador of Bolivia to China H.E. Mr. Hugo Siles, Ambassador of Maldives to China H.E. Mr. Fazeel Najeeb, Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to China H.E. Mr. M. Zakaria Lababidi, Ambassador of Senegal to China H.E. Mr. Ibrahima Sory Sylla, as well as Wei Yan, President of Home and Abroad News Press and her senior executives were invited to attend the event.

China and Pakistan are reliable friends and all-weather strategic partners. In recent years, the two countries have maintained close high-level exchanges, solid political mutual trust, and deepened and expanded practical cooperation, with bilateral relations continuing to develop at a high level. The year 2026 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, and this visit will kick off the commemorative activities for this milestone. China looks forward to taking this visit as an opportunity to further implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, strengthen strategic communication and coordination, deepen exchanges and cooperation across all fields, carry out a series of commemorative activities marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, and accelerate the building of a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era. Today, as part of the ongoing series of events celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, the Embassy of Pakistan in China, in collaboration with the Silk Road Cities Alliance, Jinshang Group and WTL Design, hosted an “Embassy Exhibition and Tree-Planting Ceremony.” The event featured live musical performances, a video presentation showcasing the renovation of the embassy building, and a joint tree-planting ceremony.

In his remarks, Pakistani Ambassador to China H.E. Mr. Khalil Hashmi welcomed the distinguished guests and highlighted the symbolic significance of the event. He noted that both the renovation of the residence and the tree-planting ceremony embody renewal, continuity, and confidence in the future, much like the relationship between Pakistan and China, which has remained deeply rooted, steadily growing, and forward-looking over the past 75 years.

The Ambassador emphasized that the renovated embassy building represents far more than a physical upgrade. It symbolizes the seamless integration of Pakistan’s cultural heritage with contemporary design, serving as a platform for cultural expression and diplomatic engagement. He further noted that the tree-planting ceremony symbolizes sustainable development, environmental responsibility, and a shared commitment to future generations.

The Ambassador also acknowledged the contributions of embassy staff and partner organizations, including the Silk Road Cities Alliance, Jinshang Group, and WTL Design, for their outstanding contributions in implementing the project and supporting the embassy’s broader cultural and public diplomacy efforts.

After the tree-planting ceremony concluded, the distinguished guests made their way into the embassy courtyard. With enchanting night scenery and fresh air, the space felt like a natural oxygen-rich oasis, filled with the scent of flowers. The diplomats and guests mingled in small groups. President Wei Yan of Home and Abroad News Press enjoyed fragrant tea and grilled meat with ambassadors from various countries, engaging in friendly conversation. The senior executives of Home and Abroad News Press spent an unforgettable time with the distinguished Chinese and foreign guests... Meanwhile, Wei Yan informed the ambassadors of the Ambassadors Club that the club would visit cities in the Greater Bay Area in October 2026 to explore potential cooperation projects.
