【中外新闻网记者 刘登臣 赵焕祥 陈彬云 小记者 王欣怡】参观者经由“蜂巢”下景观绿植地块进入英国展区，通过登上建筑后方的一个楼梯，参观者可以进入蜂巢内部此设计旨在吸引经过东西大道上，这个大道连接了整个世博展区。英国馆由五个体验区组成：果园、草地、平台、建筑项目和这个“蜂巢”，英国馆以独特的视觉效果展示英国在物种保护方面的全球领导地位。
Through the “Hive”, visitors can enter the UK Pavilion’s green plant landscape. After that, they can get into the “Hive” where connects with the entire Expo Park. The UK Pavilion contains five sections: the fruit garden, the grassland, the platform, the exhibition building and the “Hive”. The U.K. Pavilion utilizes a unique visual effect to show UK’s global leadership in the species protection.
8月19日下午16:40，中外新闻社赴米兰记者团在世博会新闻中心安排下访问英国馆。英国馆馆长莎拉·艾薇瑞特是一位出色的女外交官，温柔、典雅,面带微笑，她对中外新闻社采访团队到访表示极大的欢迎，并亲自给中外新闻社每一位大、小记者赠送礼物。
At 4:40pm on August 19th, arranged by the Media Centre of the Expo Milano 2015, Home and Abroad News Press Journalist Delegation visited the UK Pavilion. The UK Pavilion Director Ms. Sara Everett is an outstanding female diplomat with soft, elegant and kind manners. She warmly welcomed the Home and Abroad News Press Journalist Delegation and personally presented gifts to each delegation members and junior journalists.
采访英国馆，记者关注的问题是：“米兰世博会英国馆构思了“蜂巢”作为其核心建筑，这个设计理念突出了人类与蜜蜂的相似性和关联性，成为米兰世博会十大展馆之一，给参观者留下深刻印象。请问：米兰世博会英国馆的展示会给英国经济社会发展带来哪些作用？”
During the interview in the UK Pavilion, the journalist asked: “The UK Pavilion in the Expo Milano is based on the idea of ‘Hive’ as its core architecture. This design highlights the similarity and connectivity between human beings and bees, which makes the UK Pavilion as one of the top ten Milan Expo pavilions. We want to know what are the impacts that the UK Pavilion could make to the UK economic and social development?”

莎拉·艾薇瑞特馆长说，英国馆的构思是以“蜂巢”作为核心建筑。高耸的“蜂巢”闪闪发光，发出嗡嗡声，让游客们穿过“蜂巢”下经过精心设计的“牧场”时，能一睹“蜂巢”之美。此次米兰世博会为英国与世界各国提供了一个重要的合作交流平台，米兰世博会英国馆的展示也会成为英国经济发展重要的推动力量。
Director Ms. Everett said that the concept of the UK Pavilion is based on the “Hive” as the core architecture. The “Hive” is brightly shining, and visitors are surrounded by sounds. Everything together offers a unique experience to all visitors when they enjoy their visit in the UK Pavilion. the Expo Milano provided an important cooperative platform to connect the UK and the whole world. Surely, the UK Pavilion will be an important promotion factor to boost the Britain economic and social development.
莎拉·艾薇瑞特馆长还就“米兰世博会英国馆的设计理念与2010年上海世博会的设计理念有哪些不同？英国馆會在米兰世博会中还将举办哪些活动？等专题与中外新闻社记者进行了友好的交流，
Director Ms. Everett also answered other questions, like what are the major differences of the UK Pavilions between Shanghai Expo and Milano Expo? and what kind of activities the UK Pavilion will organize during the Expo period? etc. She held a friendly talk with all delegation journalists.
英国馆的设计是一个没有屋顶的开放式公园，展区核心“种子圣殿”外部生长有六万余根向各个方向伸展的触须。白天，触须会像光纤那样传导光线来提供内部照明，营造出现代感和震撼力兼具的空间；展区中有“绿色城市”、 “开放城市”、 “种子圣殿”、 “活力城市”和“开放公园”等景点。
The UK Pavilion is an open-concept park without roof. The “Hive” is made up of over 180,000 components and weighs 30 tonnes. Woven into the UK Pavilion’s very structure is a demonstration of how UK science, innovation and creativity combine to directly address the theme of Expo Milano 2015 - ‘Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life’. The UK Pavilion also includes “Green city”, “Open City”, “Seed Cathedral”, “Energy city”, “Open Park” and other theme sections.
采访结束，莎拉·艾薇瑞特馆长给每一位记者赠送礼物，同时也接受小记者赠送的礼物，并与记者愉快的合影留念。
At the end of the interview, Director Ms. Everett personally presented a gift to each delegation members. The junior journalists also gave their home-made gifts to Ms. Everett. A wonderful group photo concluded the delegation’s happy journey in the UK Pavilion.
