A Consulate General is a diplomatic representative office of a country stationed in a city with diplomatic ties. The Consulate General represent the interests of the entire country and are fully responsible for the relationship between the two countries. They are appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country and perform their duties as representatives of the country. The Consulates General of various countries have become a window showing the unique cultural charm of each country to the world. China's friendly and cooperative relations with other countries have developed in an all-round way. Based on the principle of equality and mutual benefit, China has actively carried out multi-level and wide-ranging cooperation with fruitful results. The youth are an important force in promoting and developing friendly and cooperative relations between China and all countries around the world.
2022年7月18日下午，“见证友谊” 中外新闻社2022暑期访问外国驻广州总领事馆小记者团在广州举行了开团仪式。广东省人大代表、宋庆龄基金会理事钟课枝女士，联合国国际协调局副局长兼新闻部长、中外新闻社总裁韦燕，中外新闻社执行社长、副总编刘登臣，中外新闻社常务理事刘暖尧、魏炯才等领导出席。韦燕对即将出征、肩负着外事采访任务的小记者们发表了重要讲话。并在会上就“见证友谊” 中外新闻社小记者2022暑期访问的国家一一作了介绍，并对外交礼仪、采访技巧、标题制作等进行了实战培训。
On the afternoon of July 18th, 2022, "Witness Friendship" Home and Abroad News Press 2022 Summer Junior Journalist Delegation to Foreign Consulates General in Guangzhou held the opening ceremony in Guangzhou Rosedale Hotel. Mrs. Zhong Kezhi, the Representative of Guangdong Provincial People's Congress and the Director of the Soong Ching Ling Foundation, Mrs. Wei Yan, the Deputy Director of the United Nations International Coordination and Collaboration Agency and the President of Home and Abroad News Press, Mr. Liu Dengchen, the Executive Director and the Deputy editor-in-chief of Home and Abroad News Press, Mr. Liu Nuanyao, the Executive Director of Home and Abroad News Press, Mr. Wei Jiongcai and other senior officers as well as important guests attended the ceremony. Mrs. Wei Yan delivered an important speech to all junior journalists who are about to take the serial interviews with the foreign consulates. She also introduced the 8 countries in this serial interviews and provided practical training on diplomatic etiquettes, interview skills, news article writing and title creations etc.
广东省人大代表、宋庆龄基金会理事钟课枝女士在“见证友谊”中外新闻社2022暑期访问外国驻广州总领事馆小记者团开团仪式上对即将出征的小记者提出两点要求：第一，小记者在采访外国使领馆时，要把中国少年儿童健康向上的一面呈现给各国总领事，向他们讲好中国故事、传递中国声音；第二，我们的小记者要利用这次难得的学习机会，认真向我们中外新闻社的大记者学习，学习他们外交智慧、采访技巧，通过此次采访，尽快的提升自己。
Mrs. Zhong Kezhi made two suggestions to the junior journalists at the opening ceremony: First, when interviewing the foreign consulates, the junior journalists should present the positive energy of Chinese children to the consuls general of various countries, tell them the Chinese stories, and deliver the Chinese voice. Second, our junior journalists should take advantage of this rare learning opportunity. We should seriously learn from the senior journalists of Home and Abroad News Press, learn about their diplomatic wisdom and interview skills to improve yourself in any possible ways during this serial interviews.

2020年起，由于疫情原因中外新闻社小记者团活动被一次次延期，现在广州市人民政府新闻办公室通报的广州市新冠肺炎疫情防控工作最新进展情况：广州疫情已经趋于稳定，中外新闻社同各国驻广州总领事馆联系沟通。在确保风险可控的前提下，中外新闻社小记者经过海选，来自香港、重庆、珠海、深圳、成都、柳州、佛山、东莞、汕头、广州、中山、郑州等地。每一位小记者在出征仪式上分别作了认真的发言，他们为能够有机会与各国政府驻华高级别官员“零距离”对话感到由衷的兴奋和激动。他们纷纷表示要珍惜此次机会了解各国的文化和教育，感受各国外交官的智慧、热情与友好，学习外交官的外交风范，同时提高自己的英语水平。
Since the pandemic starting in 2020, the serial interviews of Home and Abroad News Press Junior Journalist Delegation have been postponed again and again. With the latest pandemic updates by the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government Information Office: the pandemic situation in Guangzhou has been stabilized; as the result, Home and Abroad News Press actively communicated with the consulates general of various countries in Guangzhou. Under the strict control measures and risk assessment, the junior journalists were selected by public audition from Hong Kong, Chongqing, Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Liuzhou, Foshan, Dongguan, Shantou, Guangzhou, Zhongshan, Zhengzhou and other places. Every junior journalist made serious promises at the opening ceremony to do their best in this learning journey. They are sincerely excited to have the opportunity to have close dialogues with high-level officials of various countries in China. 最后由钟课枝女士和中外新闻社总裁韦燕在台上挥动小记者团团旗, 之后交给小记者团团长张思仪、小记者团副团长张作铭同学, 然后小记者列队出征, 将采访日本、印尼、巴基斯坦、俄罗斯、韩国、泰国、希腊、伊朗等8国驻广州总领事馆。
Finally, Mrs. Zhong Kaozhi and Mrs. Wei Yan waved the delegation flag on the stage and then handed it over to Zhang Siyi, the group head of the Junior Journalist Delegation, and Zhang Zuoming, the deputy group head.
