（中外新闻社小记者 林晨睿 阳思怡 桂海明 林婉婷 罗梓铭）2026年将迎来中国与佛得角建交50周年伟大时刻。佛得角国总理席尔瓦率代表团一行，出席了2024年9月在北京举办的中非合作峰会，即代表中国与佛得角国双边关系上升至最高点。2月5日上午，“见证友谊” –2026寒假中国中外新闻社小记者如期采访佛得角驻华大使阿林多·多罗萨里奥阁下。大使说：“期待两国青少年成为发展中佛友好关系新的动力。”
The year 2026 will mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cabo Verde. Prime Minister Silva of Cabo Verde led a delegation to attend the China-Africa Cooperation Summit held in Beijing in September 2024, signifying the elevation of bilateral relations between China and Cabo Verde to their highest level. On the morning of February 5th,“Witness Friendship”2026 Winter Home and Abroad News Press Junior Journalist Delegation interviewed with the Ambassador of Cabo Verde to China, Arlindo do Rosário. The Ambassador stated: “We look forward to the youth of both nations becoming a new driving force in developing friendly relations between China and Cabo Verde.”

The Republic of Cabo Verde is a parliamentary democracy located on the Cabo Verde Islands in the North Atlantic Ocean off the western coast of Africa. As an island nation in the central Atlantic, Cabo Verde is a member of international and regional organizations including the United Nations, World Trade Organization, Community of Portuguese Language Countries, African Union, Economic Community of West African States, Francophonie, and Non-Aligned Movement. In September 2019, the World Economic Forum's Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report ranked Cabo Verde 88th globally. Its economy relies heavily on fishing, with seafood exports serving as a major source of foreign exchange. The country's GDP per capita stands at $3,902.6.
佛得角文化深受欧洲和非洲的影响，在语言、宗教、音乐、舞蹈、手工艺等方面均有体现。并被联合国教科文组织收录进人类非物质文化遗产名录，被誉为“佛得角的灵魂”。
Cabo Verdean culture is deeply influenced by both Europe and Africa, evident in its languages, religions, music, dance, and crafts. It has been inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and is celebrated as “the Soul of Cabo Verde.”
小记者在佛得角大使馆采访，大使首先邀请小记者观看佛得角宣传片：佛得角共和国首都普拉亚位于圣地亚哥岛南端，海拔30米的高台上，是该国的政治、经济和文化中心，是佛得角政府机构、议会以及各国外交使团的驻地。佛得角群岛海洋资源丰富，拥有73.4万平方千米的海洋专属经济区。2020年，联合国教科文组织在佛得角设立了2处世界生物圈保护区。
Junior journalists interviewed at the Cabo Verdean Embassy, where the ambassador first invited them to watch a promotional video about Cabo Verde: Praia, the capital of the Republic of Cape Verde, is situated on a 30-meter-high plateau at the southern tip of Santiago Island. As the nation's political, economic, and cultural hub, it Cabo Verde's government institutions, parliament, and diplomatic missions from various countries. The Cabo Verde archipelago has abundant marine resources, encompassing a 734,000-square-kilometer exclusive economic zone. In 2020, UNESCO designated two World Biosphere Reserves within Cabo Verde.

In the interview session, a junior journalist asked: “Hello, Ambassador! We are so honored to have this opportunity to interview you. As an accomplished diplomat who previously served as Minister of Health in Cabo Verde, you effectively advanced China and Cabo Verde cooperation in the health sector. As the Ambassador to China, in your opinions, how can the youth of both countries carry forward the valuable friendship over the past 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations? Thank you!”
“谢谢你的提问。”大使说，中华人民共和国与佛得角共和国于1976年4月25日建交。建交以来，两国关系发展顺利。2024年9月，中佛建立战略伙伴关系。作为驻华大使，我认为：两国青少年就是人才互相的培养，所有的合作归根到底都是人与人之间的关系的发展。就像今天在座的各位小记者能够来到大使馆一样，这也是我们友谊的一种延续。让我们人与人之间的交流能够更好，这样子才能奠定在各个领域之之外的这样子的一个合作和发展。未来的青少年都可以跟佛得角产生合作的方向，我希望你们以后能够去到佛得角，甚至在佛得角那边做记者，去深度的感受这个美丽的国家。
“Thank you for your question!” the ambassador said that China and Cabo Verde established diplomatic relations on April 25, 1976. Since then, bilateral ties have developed smoothly. In September 2024, China and Cabo Verde elevated their relationship to a strategic partnership. As ambassador to China, I believe that the youth of both nations represent the cultivation of talent for each other. Ultimately, all cooperation boils down to the development of people-to-people relations. Just as the young journalists have been able to visit the embassy, this also represents a continuation of our friendship. Let us enhance our interpersonal exchanges, for only then can we lay the foundation for cooperation and development across all fields. Future generations of youth can explore avenues for collaboration with Cabo Verde. I hope that one day you will visit Cabo Verde, perhaps even work there as journalists, to gain a deeper understanding of this beautiful country.

Since the Confucius Institute at the University of Cabo Verde launched its first Chinese language and culture program in January 2016, an increasing number of young Cabo Verdeans are now studying Chinese. In your view, what is the potential in educational cooperation between China and Cabo Verde? Thank you!”
“深圳现在就有和我们在教育上合作的，此时此刻有很多佛得角的留学生在中国留学，在佛得角中文已经成为了正式的选修课程。2023年11月，中国教育部长怀进鹏同佛得角教育部长克鲁斯在出席联合国教科文组织第42届大会期间会见，就两国教育交流合作交换意见。中国三亚市、济南市、南通市分别与佛萨尔市、普拉亚市、博阿维斯塔市缔结友好城市，都非常重视教育的合作”大使谈到。
“Shenzhen is currently collaborating with us in education. At this very moment, numerous Cabo Verdean students are studying in China, and Chinese has become an official elective course in Cabo Verde. In November 2023, Chinese Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng and Cabo Verdean Minister of Education Cruz exchanged views on educational exchange and cooperation during their meeting at the 42nd session of the UNESCO General Conference. The Chinese cities of Sanya, Jinan, and Nantong have established sister-city relationships with Fozal, Praia, and Boavista, respectively, and those cities place great emphasis on educational cooperation.” the ambassador noted.

Another junior journalist asked: Hello, Dear Ambassador! You have been the Ambassador of Cabo Verde to China since December 2022. Which Chinese cities have you visited? Please share your impressions of China. Thank you!
大使愉快的回答：我去过中国很多城市，包括澳门和香港，感受到：就是中国文化的多元化。去到每一个城市，好像每一种民族，每一种文化，每一种风格都不一样，感觉整个中国都非常的文化很多元。然后去到每个地方，都感觉到很多新的东西，不一样的展现。我很喜欢中国的食物，去到很多地方吃的东西都不一样，我非常喜欢重庆火锅，不管是上海菜，北京菜还有西北菜，我都很喜欢。第二点，每一个城市，都能够感觉到中国的古老文化和现代文明的融合。不管是古代的文明还是现代的科技，都能够在很多地方能够非常好的融合。第三，就是中国的政治体系，比较关注于消除贫困。我看到很多的村子，很多的那种边远的山区以前都很穷的。通过领导人的努力，还有通过政党的努力，现在很多地方都脱贫了。这一点突破是非常艰难的，就是说帮助很多人一起能够提升生活质量。
The ambassador cheerfully replied: I've visited many cities in China, including Macau and Hong Kong, and what struck me most was the diversity of Chinese culture. Every city feels distinct, each ethnic group, each culture, each style seems unique, making the entire country feel incredibly culturally diverse. And wherever I go, I encountered many new things, each with its own distinct expression. I adore Chinese cuisine. The food varies greatly across regions, I particularly love Chongqing hotpot, and equally enjoy Shanghai, Beijing, and Northwest Chinese dishes. Secondly, every city showcases the seamless fusion of China's ancient heritage and modern civilization. Both ancient traditions and contemporary technology coexist harmoniously in numerous settings. Thirdly, China's political system places significant emphasis on poverty alleviation. I've seen many villages and remote mountainous areas that were once impoverished. Through the efforts of leaders and the political party, many regions have now lifted themselves out of poverty. This breakthrough was incredibly challenging, it means helping countless people collectively improve their quality of life.

Ambassador Arlindo do Rosário was exceptionally warm and welcoming. After completing the interview, the ambassador provided snacks and beverages for all junior journalists. They also presented gifts from their hometowns to the ambassador, who responded “I hope you all grow up quickly and become diplomats someday, serving as a new driving force for the development of friendly relations between China and Cabo Verde.”
