Celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, Chinese President Xi Jinping noted that China and Pakistan are close friends and all-weather strategic partners bound by shared geography and a common destiny. Over the past 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties, regardless of changes in the international landscape, the friendship between China and Pakistan has remained as solid as a rock and unbreakable. The two countries have long maintained a high level of political mutual trust, a high level of practical cooperation, a high level of security cooperation, and a high level of international coordination, setting an exemplary model for state-to-state relations.

On the morning of August 7th, “Witness Friendship”- 2026 Summer Home and Abroad News Press Junior Journalists visited the Pakistani Embassy in China. The Deputy Head of Mission of Pakistan to China, Mr. Aizaz Khan accepted the interview with our junior journalists.

As the junior journalists entered the embassy, the Press Minister of the Embassy of Pakistan in China Mr. Manzoor Ali Memon delivered a welcome speech. He firstly warmly welcomed the“Witness Friendship”--- 2026 Summer Home and Abroad News Press Junior Journalists to visit the Embassy of Pakistan in China. As China's only "all-weather" strategic partner, Pakistan has withstood the severe test of international changes in the 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, which is as solid as a rock and unbreakable. The youth of China and Pakistan are ambassadors for promoting friendship between the two countries, and cultural exchanges between youth are the bond that connects the friendship between the two countries, which will further promote people to people exchanges between China and Pakistan.

Minister Memon had friendly exchanges with President Ms. Wei Yan and Vice President Mr. Alan Zhang. While deepening children's understanding of Pakistan, the interview also aimed to present the combination of Chinese and Pakistani cultures.

At 3:30pm, Deputy Head of Mission of Pakistan in China, Mr. Aizaz Khan entered the conference hall. Our junior journalists made self-introduction to him one by one. He highly praised for the Chinese children, and showed them the national promotional videos about Pakistan.
宣传片播出的内容有：巴基斯坦的文化、美食、音乐、舞蹈、旅游景点等, 使我们小记者对巴基斯坦有了进一步的了解。之后巴基斯坦驻华副大使艾扎兹汗先生还向韦燕总裁赠送庆祝中巴建交75周年、描画中巴友好的陶瓷盘，完美的展示了“比山高, 比海深, 比蜜甜”的中巴情谊。
The promotional videos included Pakistan's culture, cuisine, music, dance, tourist attractions etc., which made our junior journalists have a further understanding of Pakistan. Later, Mr. Aizaz Khan presented to President Wei Yan a Commemorative Ceramic Plate of the 75th Anniversary of China-Pakistan establishing diplomatic relations, which symbolizes the friendship between China and Pakistan is “higher than mountains, deeper than seas, and sweeter than honey”.

Deputy Ambassador of Pakistan to China Mr. Aizaz Khan delivered an important speech. He said, “I would like to welcome all of you the Chinese junior journalists to the Pakistani Embassy today. I am delighted by your visit, as it signifies that relations between our two countries will continue to grow stronger in the future, because you are the future!” The relationship between China and Pakistan is higher than mountains, deeper than the sea, and sweeter than honey. As you know, there is a term called “Iron Brother,” which essentially means that China and Pakistan are very close neighbors and friends.

Mr. Aizaz Khan said that over the past 75 years, the ties between Pakistan and China have continued to deepen, along with their cooperation and friendship. Today, we can see the excellent interaction and mutual support between the two countries on the international stage, which is, in fact, the result of the path of friendship paved by our forebears. Now, junior journalists here today, your mission is to continuously carry this precious friendship forward from generation to generation… You have learned a lot about Pakistan through the short videos you just watched, which introduced Pakistan’s geography, culture and customs. We welcome all of you to visit Pakistan in person when the opportunity arises to experience firsthand the warmth of the Pakistani people and their friendship toward the Chinese people.

During the interview session, one of the junior journalists asked, “We just watched Pakistan’s promotional videos and it was fantastic. Pakistan attracts countless tourists with its rich cultural heritage and historical background. From bustling cities to ancient villages, Pakistan presents a vibrant tapestry of culture. I love traveling more than anything. If my parents were to take me on a trip to Pakistan, what would be the best time of year to go? Thank you!”
艾扎兹汗副大使介绍，巴基斯坦是一个拥有悠久历史和多元文化的国家。这里曾孕育了古老的印度河文明，是世界重要文明发源地之一。巴基斯坦拥有丰富的民族文化，不同地区拥有独特的语言、服饰、音乐和传统习俗。巴基斯坦人民热情好客，重视家庭和友谊，这些文化特点与中国人民许多传统价值观有相似之处。如果选择去巴基斯坦旅游，一年四季节都合适。
Mr. Aizaz Khan also noted that Pakistan is a country with a long history and a diverse culture. It was once the cradle of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization and is one of the world’s major cradles of civilization. Pakistan has a rich ethnic culture, with different regions featuring unique languages, clothing, music, and traditional customs. The Pakistani people are warm and hospitable, and they value family and friendship; these cultural traits share similarities with many of the traditional values of the Chinese people. If you choose to travel to Pakistan, any time of year is good to go.
他也谈到, 近年来中巴两国在教育、科技等领域开展合作越来越深入。巴基斯坦的教育水平相对较低, 而中国在这方面有着丰富的经验和优秀的教育资源。因此, 中巴两国可以加强人员交流、教育培训等方面的合作, 提高巴基斯坦的教育水平和科技实力。除此之外, 中巴两国在环保、能源、农业等领域开展合作, 共同推进两国和地区的可持续发展。在未来的几年里面, 我们也会看到两国之间的留学生数量会得到提升。
He also said that in recent years, cooperation between China and Pakistan has become increasingly deep in fields such as education and technology. Pakistan's education level is relatively low, while China has rich experience and excellent educational resources in this area. Therefore, China and Pakistan can strengthen cooperation in personnel exchanges, education and training, and improve Pakistan's education level and technological strength. In addition, China and Pakistan cooperate in areas such as environmental protection, energy, and agriculture to jointly promote sustainable development in both countries and regions. In the coming years, we will also see an increase in the number of international exchange students between the two countries.
走进巴基斯坦驻华大使馆，跟外交官面对面交流，开启孩子们认知世界的大门，从地理、国旗、语言、人口、风土人情等全方位了解参访国。小记者与副大使及其他外交官互动交流，听外交官讲解本国历史、文化，品尝异国美食。拓展国际视野，增强国际文化素养，锻炼孩子们的礼仪与国际社交能力。
A visit to the Pakistani Embassy in China, where children engage in face-to-face exchanges with diplomats, opens the door to their understanding of the world. They gain a comprehensive understanding of the host country about its geography, national flags, languages, population, and local customs and traditions. The junior journalists interacted with the Deputy Ambassador and other diplomats, listened to the diplomats’ explanations of their country’s history and culture, and sampled exotic cuisine. This experience broadens their international horizons, enhances their cross-cultural literacy, and hones their etiquette and international social skills.

During the cultural exchange session, Home and Abroad News Press junior journalists along with Mr. Aizaz Khan and Mr. Mansoor Ali Memon signed a giant calligraphy painting titled “China-Pakistan Friendship: Solid as a Rock” to express their sincere wishes for the China and Pakistan’s friendship. Mr. Mansoor Ali Memon also invited the junior journalists to enjoy the traditional Pakistani cuisine, desserts, and beverages. Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Aizaz Khan presented the junior journalists with certificates recognizing them as “Outstanding Junior Journalists (Little Diplomats)”.
通过此次难忘的采访，小记者们纷纷表示：此次到访巴基斯坦大使馆，让我们真正读懂了“巴铁”二字沉甸甸的含义。作为新时代青少年，我们会牢记这份用生命守护的深厚情谊，努力成长，做中巴友好传承者。
