High leaders and representatives from 151 countries and 41 international organizations came to China to participate in the Third “Belt and Road” Forum for International Cooperation (BRF), which once again demonstrated the tremendous appeal and global influence of building the "Belt and Road Initiative" (BRI). China's eight actions to support the high-quality construction of the BRI have clarified a new direction, opened up a new vision and injected a new impetus for the future BRI. On the afternoon of October 20th, Home and Abroad News Press had an exclusive interview with H.E. Mr. Vahan Kerobyan, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, in the Shenzhen Hilton Hotel.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and some Western countries and media have expressed skepticism about the BRI. What is your view on the BRI? Do you have any comments about the BRI?”
科罗比扬表示，亚美尼亚是最早支持“一带一路”倡议的国家之一，“一带一路”使各国互联互通更加紧密，不仅推动重要基础设施建设，还拉近人民之间的距离，数以万计的项目和数以万亿美元的投资在不同的国家落地，给世界带来了繁荣，造福了各国人民。中国推进共建“一带一路”方向正确，各国参与共建“一带一路”信心坚定，“一带一路”高质量发展前景光明。和平发展、合作共赢是大势所趋、人心所向。亚中两国在“一带一路”倡议框架下的务实合作有序推进。
Minister Korobyan said that Armenia was one of the first countries to support the Belt and Road Initiative, which has brought countries closer together, not only promoting the construction of important infrastructure, but also bringing people closer together, with tens of thousands of projects with trillions of dollars invested in many different countries, bringing prosperity to the world and benefiting the people of all countries. China is moving in the right direction in promoting the construction of the Belt and Road, and all countries have strong confidence in participating in the construction of the Belt and Road, with a bright future for the high-quality development of the Belt and Road. Peaceful development and win-win cooperation are the general trend and the will of the people. Pragmatic cooperation between Armenia and China within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative is being implemented in an orderly manner.
记者：18日下午在第三届“一带一路”国际合作高峰论坛地方合作专题论坛上，我聆听了你的演讲，您认为中亚两国间有很大的合作空间，并且亚美尼亚正致力于加入亚洲基础设施投资银行，希望在今年以前可以实现这个愿望。请问：实现这个愿望你们有什么计划和想法? 对“一带一路”下一个十年还有哪些期待?
We asked: On the afternoon of the 18th, at the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, I listened to your speech. You believe that there is a lot of room for cooperation between China and Armenia, and that Armenia is working on joining the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), which can be achieved by the end of this year. What are your plans and ideas for realizing this goal? What are your expectations for the next decade of the Belt and Road Initiative?
科罗比扬谈到，加入亚洲基础设施投资银行符合亚美尼亚国家利益。基于亚洲巨大的基础设施建设需求，势必也将为亚美尼亚带来巨大机遇。“一带一路”下一个十年我们希望看到中国铁建将继续积极投身建筑工业化、数字化、绿色化浪潮，与全球各界携手合作，共同推进产业变革、技术升级、绿色转型，以科技进步推动产业升级，以创新驱动行业高质量发展，为全球建筑业创新发展做出更大贡献。亚美尼亚正在成为世界不同经济体之间的新桥梁，并在逐步改善与各贸易伙伴的关系。
Minister Korobyan mentioned that joining the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank is in the national interest of Armenia. Based on the huge demand for infrastructure construction in Asia, it will surely bring huge opportunities for Armenia. In the next decade of the "Belt and Road" we hope to see that China Railway Construction will continue to actively participate in construction industrialization, digitalization and green technology, and join hands with all walks of life around the globe to promote industrial change, technological upgrade and green transformation, promote industrial development with scientific and technological progress, drive the high-quality development of the industry through innovation, and make greater contributions to the innovation and development of the global construction industry. Armenia is becoming a new bridge between different economies in the world to gradually improve its relations with various trading partners.
作为连接该国南北两端的交通大动脉，亚美尼亚南北公路是中国和亚美尼亚在“一带一路”倡议框架下的重要合作项目。通车后，亚美尼亚南北两端的通行时间将缩减一半。此外，该公路将对接格鲁吉亚与伊朗，使亚美尼亚在国际运输走廊中发挥重要的过境物流运输作用。“中国公司在亚美尼亚还有其他基础设施项目，如北部水库、学校等。科罗比扬强调，“中国的投资和建设非常重要，我们希望以后会有更多，我们已准备向中国公司提供更多的项目，包括经济、文化、教育和城市生活的各方面。”
As a major transportation hub connecting the north and south of the country, the Armenian North-South Highway is an important cooperation project between China and Armenia under the Belt and Road Initiative. With this highway, the travel time between the northern and southern ends of Armenia will be reduced by half. In addition, the highway will connect Georgia with Iran, enabling Armenia to play an important role in transit logistics in international transportation corridors. Chinese companies have other infrastructure projects in Armenia, such as reservoirs in the north, schools, etc. He emphasized that “Chinese investments and construction are very important, and we hope there will be more in the future, and we are ready to offer more projects to Chinese companies, including all aspects of the economy, culture, education and urban life.”
本届高峰论坛上，中方宣布了支持高质量共建“一带一路”的八项行动，这令科罗比扬印象深刻。他表示，中方将加强和加快基础设施建设步伐，进一步加强互联互通，这也将使中国和中亚更紧密地联系在一起。“无论欧洲还是亚洲，我们是一个‘地球村’，未来十年让我们一起努力，建设强大的基础设施。”
At the BRF this year, China announced eight actions to support the high-quality construction of the BRI, which impressed Mr. Kolobyan. He said: “China will strengthen and accelerate the pace of infrastructure construction and further enhance connectivity, which will also bring China and Central Asia closer together. “Whether in Europe or Asia, we are living in a ‘global village’, let's work together in the next decade to build strong infrastructure.”
