沙特阿拉伯王国位于亚洲西南部的阿拉伯半岛，是名副其实的“石油王国”，石油储量和产量均居世界首位，使其成为世界上最富裕的国家之一。8月4日下午，“见证友谊”--中外新闻社小记者2016暑期访问沙特阿拉伯王国驻华使馆，沙特驻华大使图尔基阁下对小记者们的到访表示欢迎，一句话：“欢迎中国学生到沙特阿拉伯来学习，政府提供五十个免费名额……”使在场的一些小记者蠢蠢欲动。
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is located in the Southwestern part of the Arabian Peninsula, and it is known as an “Oil Kingdom”. Its oil reserves and production are ranked the first in the world, making it as one of the richest countries around the world. In the afternoon of August 4th, “Witness Friendship” Home and Abroad News Press 2016 Summer Junior Journalist Delegation visited the Saudi Arabian Embassy in China. The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to China, H.E. Mr. Turki Mohammed AlMadi welcomed the junior journalists, and he said that “Welcome Chinese students to study in Saudi Arabia, the government will provide free programs for 50 students.” This message made all junior journalists extremely excited.
中沙两国建交已经有26年了。我们荣幸地采访到沙特阿拉伯驻华大使先生是很值得兴奋的一件事情，在听完图尔基大使简单的介绍后，小记者的采访正式开始。
China and Saudi Arabia have established diplomatic relations for 26 years. We are honored to interview the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to China. This is a very exciting thing for all of us. After listening to Ambassador Turki’s brief introduction, the junior journalists started the interview.
“你好大使先生，今年1月19日，应沙特阿拉伯国王邀请，中国国家主席习近平对沙特阿拉伯进行国事访问。习近平在同沙特阿拉伯国王举行会谈时表明：中沙建交26年来，各领域合作成果丰硕，给两国人民带来巨大福祉。你认为：作为青少年，我们如何传承两国人民的宝贵友谊？为两国人民的友好关系贡献我们的智慧和力量？”小记者问。
“Hello, Mr. Ambassador. January 19th this year, invited by the King of Saudi Arabia, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Saudi Arabia. Xi Jinping met with the King of Saudi Arabia and expressed that since China and Saudi Arabia established diplomatic relations 26 years ago, the two countries achieved fruitful results in various fields and brought enormous benefits to the two peoples. In your opinions, how should the youth and teenagers carry on the traditional friendship between the two countries? How can we contribute our wisdom and efforts to further develop the friendly relations between the two peoples?” a journalist asked.
大使说，中沙两国在建交之前关系就一直很好，随着时间的推移，青少年已成为发展两国关系的重要力量，两国政府都非常希望下一代青少年能继承两国友好的关系。最近，双方政府举办了中国和沙特青年交流活动，这就是一个很好的例子。大使认为，每一个青少年都应该为“一带一路”做贡献，“一带一路”连接着很多国家，他非常建议学生们多多了解“一带一路”的知识，应该肩负起“一带一路”的责任，多读书，也可以上网看视频等。
The ambassador said that relations between China and Saudi Arabia have been very good since the establishment of diplomatic ties. Over time, young people have become an important force in developing the bilateral relations. The two governments hope the future generations can continue the friendship between the two countries. Recently, the two governments are holding a series of youth exchange programs in both China and Saudi Arabia. In the ambassador’s views, every young people should made their contributions to the “One Belt, One Road” initiative because this huge undertaking strategy connects many countries. He highly suggested more students could learn more about the “One Belt, One Road” initiative so that they can take the historical responsibilities for world peace.
“沙特阿拉伯是名副其实的“石油王国”,石油储量和产量居世界首位,使其成为世界上最富裕的国家之一。请问大使先生，沙特阿拉伯对教育和基础设施项目的投资又是怎样？政府给青少年完成学业提供哪些优厚的条件？”小记者问。
“Saudi Arabia is known as “Oil Kingdom” because its oil reserves and production are ranked in the top place around the globe, making it as one of the richest countries in the world. We want to know that how Saudi Arabian government invested in in education and infrastructure projects. What favorable policies the government offers to graduated students?” another junior journalist asked.
“教育在沙特阿拉伯占有很大的比例，沙特阿拉伯及周边国家很多关于教育投资都是免费的。有部分沙特阿拉伯的学生到中国留学都是政府承担，所以说沙特阿拉伯在教育的投资巨大，占的比例也很大。”大使说欢迎中国学生到沙特来学习，政府今年提供五十个免费名额。沙特阿拉伯的教育与西方教育大同小异，尽量让学生在学校完成作业，学生的英语和国语通用。
“Education in Saudi Arabia takes a large proportion of Saudi Arabia’s national expenditures. Saudi Arabia and neighboring countries are offering free education to the students. Some of the Chinese students in Saudi Arabian are actually sponsored by the Saudi Arabian government. The investment in education takes a large proportion in Saudi Arabia.” The ambassador said that he welcomed Chinese students to study in Saudi Arabia, and the government will provide free tuition programs to 50 students this year. Saudi Arabian education system is similar to the Western education system. Students are expected to complete their homework in the school, and they can communicate in English or Chinese.
对于沙特阿拉伯的石油行业的发展，大使说，他们正在考虑五十年后，甚至六十年后的情势，石油资源尽管丰富却不能维持很长的时间，因此他们正在寻找和开发新能源。
For Saudi Arabia’s oil industry, the ambassador said that they are already thinking about 50 years later or even 60 years from today. Although the country is rich in oil resources, it cannot be maintained for a long time. As a result, they are searching for and developing new energy sources.
最后，小记者们同大使以及在中国留学的沙特学生合影留念，大使馆热情的沙特外交官为我们小记者准备了当地的特产，赠送我们每人一份，我们也回赠了大使礼物，我们挥手道别：愿中沙友谊天长地久。
Finally, the junior journalists took pictures with the ambassador and the Saudi Arabian students in China. The kind embassy officials prepared the local specialty gifts for all junior journalists; as a return, they also gave back their handmade gifts to the ambassador and the officials. When we said goodbye to each other, we wished China and Saudi Arabia’s friendship last forever.
