（中外新闻社 中外新闻网记者 北京报道）11月3日中午，应斯洛伐克共和国驻华大使杜尚•贝拉阁下邀请，中外新闻社总裁韦燕、执行社长刘登臣、副社长君君、常务理事何莉及书法家张克思、企业家张恩敬等前往斯洛伐克共和国驻华使馆同杜尚•贝拉大使共进午餐，交流、洽谈合作事宜，一同共享大使官邸庭院的阳光美景，感受来自斯洛伐克独特的文化魅力。
At noon on November 3rd, invited by the Slovakian Ambassador to China H.E. Mr. Dusan Bella, the President of Home and Abroad News Press Mrs. Wei Yan, the Executive Director Mr. Liu Dengchen, the Vice President Jun Jun and He Li, the calligrapher artist Mr. Zhang Kesi and the entrepreneur Mr. Zhang Enjing came to the ambassador’s residence and enjoyed a lunch with Ambassador Dusan Bella. They exchanged and discussed cooperation opportunities, shared the meal with beautiful sunshine in the embassy courtyard with the unique culture of Slovakia.
At the luncheon, H.E Mr. Dusan Bella delivered a welcome speech. He said that it is a great pleasure to have this luncheon with President Wei Yan and her team, which is a continuation of the friendship between our two organizations. He said that he is very grateful to the Home and Abroad News Press for their active efforts in promoting the development of Slovakia and China’s friendly relations. The ambassador also mentioned that China took the leading role in controlling the global pandemic and actively carried out international cooperation with many countries, that fully demonstrated the responsibility of a major country. Slovakia is also actively learning from China, and now the pandemic is well controlled in the country. He spoke highly of China's development achievements in various fields.
The guests and the host had friendly exchanges during the meal. Slovakia is located in the central part of Europe, formerly Czechoslovakia. Since January 1, 1993, the Slovak Republic has become an independent sovereign state.
Slovakia has beautiful scenery, pleasant climate, many historical sites and rich tourism resources. Slovakia is one of the countries with the largest number of castles in the world. It also has many historical collections from ancient castles to well-preserved museums. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Slovakia over the past 71 years, Ambassador Dusan Bella expressed his satisfaction with the friendship between the two countries on the basis of mutual understanding and mutual respect.
Ambassador Dusan Bella graduated from the Moscow Foreign Affairs Institute, Russia. In 1993, he started his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia, served as Director of the international organization division, the multilateral cooperation division and the Department of policy coordination of the European Union in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovakia as well as the Slovakian Ambassador to South Korea. He presented his credentials to China's president Xi Jinping on March 17th, 2017, then officially become the Slovakian Ambassador to China.
At the luncheon, we tasted Slovak red wine and delicious cuisine, and talked about many topics, including the upcoming foreign diplomats’ trip to Shantou and Guangzhou, the Slovak young painters’ exchange programs to Shantou for the Asian Youth Asian Games and ect. President Wei Yan said that the ambassador is an outstanding diplomat and politician. He received the title of “Home and Abroad News Press -- News Person of the Year” in 2017. At that time, Mr. Li Beihai, the former Vice Minister of the Foreign Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee, presented the award to him. This has become a good memory for him in China.
Chinese famous calligrapher Zhang Kesi printed a calligraphy work at the ambassador’s residence: China and Slovakia Friendship Forever! The host and all guests cheered up with their wishes for the friendship between the two countries go on forever.
