    On the evening of September 6, 2026, the 2026 Beijing Great Wall Concert was held with great fanfare at the picturesque Badaling section of the Great Wall. This grand event, which brought together artists from China and Pakistan, used music and dance as a medium to showcase the fusion and exchange of the two countries’ cultures. The concert was not only a feast of the arts but also a vivid expression of the friendship between China and Pakistan.     At this special moment, marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, the concert’s theme takes on even greater significance. with the Great Wall, artists from diverse cultural backgrounds joined together to present the audience with a spectacular feast of cultural exchange. On the evening of the performance, a variety of classic artistic works, including classical symphonies, traditional instrumental music, and patriotic pieces, complemented one another, offering the audience a refreshing audiovisual experience.

    本次长城音乐会共设置三场主题演出, 除了6日晚的首场演出, 后续的11日和12日将继续为观众奉上精彩节目。演出中, 中国著名舞蹈表演艺术家张京棣带来了独舞《敦煌壁画》, 而来自巴基斯坦的顶尖卡塔克舞表演艺术家妮哈特·乔杜里则以舞蹈《中巴友谊颂》传递了两国人民的深厚情谊。花腔女高音常思思和新生代歌手徐子尧也为观众献唱了经典曲目, 现场气氛热烈。
    This Great Wall Concert series features three themed performances. In addition to the opening performance on the evening of September 6th, subsequent shows on the 11th and 12th will continue to offer audiences spectacular performances. During the show, renowned Chinese dancer Zhang Jingdi performed the solo dance “Dunhuang Murals”, while Nihat Chaudhury, a leading Kathak dancer from Pakistan, conveyed the deep friendship between the two nations through her dance “Ode to China-Pakistan Friendship”. Coloratura soprano Chang Sisi and rising star Xu Ziyao also performed classic songs for the audience, creating a lively atmosphere at the venue.

    For the audiences, this concert was not only an audiovisual feast but also a deeply moving experience. Many audience members remarked that being able to enjoy such a spectacular performance beneath the Great Wall, a landmark steeped in history, allowed them to feel the weight of cultural heritage while witnessing the elevation of friendship.     As the concert progressed, we spotted three former ambassadors from the Pakistani Embassy seated in the VIP section: the current ambassador, His Excellency Mr. Khalil Hashmi; former ambassadors His Excellency Mr. Moin UI Haque and H.E. Mr. Masood Khalid; Khalid. All three ambassadors have been named “News Persons of the Year” by Home and Abroad News Press. President Wei Yan shook hands with each of the three ambassadors to express her respect, a gesture that once again demonstrated the strong friendship between Home and Abroad News Press and Pakistan.
