On September 28, 2026, at the invitation of His Excellency Mr. Aizaz Khan, Pakistan’s Chargé d’Affaires in China, President Wei Yan of Home and Abroad News Press, Executive Director Mr. Liu Dengchen and Director of the International Culture Department Ms. Virginia Ma attended the Pakistan “Defense Day” event held that evening in the International Conference Hall of the Kempinski Hotel in Beijing. Lieutenant General Luo Huiqi attended the ceremony as the guest of honor. Senior Chinese civilian and military officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps, defense attachés from various embassies, media representatives, members of the Pakistani community in China, as well as military officers and officials from the Pakistani Embassy in China also attended the event.

At 7:00 p.m., the national anthems of the Republic of Pakistan and the People’s Republic of China resounded through the conference hall, performed by students from the Pakistan Embassy School in Beijing. The program also featured a documentary highlighting the bravery and sacrifices of the Pakistani Armed Forces during the 1965 War, as well as their contributions to disaster relief, international peacekeeping, and the promotion of regional and international peace and stability.
