“What a beautiful jasmine, what a beautiful jasmine, fragrant and beautiful flowers are full of branches, people really appreciated its smell and beauty... ...” In the morning of August 3rd, “Witness Friendship” --- Home and Abroad News Press 2016 Summer Junior Journalist Delegation visited the Pakistan Embassy College Beijing and singed the Chinese folk song with 30 uniform students of the Pakistan Embassy international school. At that moment, angel-like sounds filled the entire campus of the Pakistan Embassy College Beijing.
Junior journalists learned in the interview, the Pakistan Embassy College Beijing was built in 1969. Students from different nationalities are studying here. The school offers students both the Pakistani National Curriculums and the University of London English programs, which qualifies students with the UK Common Secondary Certificates and the High School Certificates. Both programs are taught in English. The school also accepts a small number of students who speak other languages and offers them an English-as-Second-Language program. The Chinese course is compulsory. The school has advanced teaching facilities include scientific laboratories, computer and language labs as well as gymnasiums and indoor basketball courts.
After they singed the song together, the junior journalists and Pakistani students friendly communicated in English. Mrs. Shagufta Ansari, the principal of the international school, said that the students have been doing well in Cambridge and Commonwealth English programs. The school attaches great importance to the overall development of students by encouraging the students to actively participate in speech competitions, sports, off-campus visits, theater performances, cultural exchanges and other activities. Through cultural exchange activities with some Chinese and international schools, the students not only present the Pakistani culture to others, but also develop deep understanding about Chinese culture and other countries' customs.
During the exchange activities, the Chinese junior journalists were able to show off their talents and performed a variety of performances. Mrs. Jenny Yeung, the Chairman of the United Nations Education Science Cultural Health Advancement Foundation, also danced with the Chinese and Pakistani students. Pakistani students are very honest and adorable. They also signed for each other as souvenirs.
A junior journalist gave a baby panda gift to the youngest student. When she was holding the panda, she smiled silently. The children took group photos to memorize this unforgettable moment. They deeply felt that the pure friendship does not need to have too much decorations, the children from China and Pakistan are the hope for our countries, and they are the promoter and messenger for China-Pakistan friendship.
