On the evening of September 1, 2023, invited by the Thai Embassy in China, President of Home and Abroad News Press Mrs. Wei Yan and many Ambassadors attended the Farewell Reception for Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to China H.E. Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot. Ambassador of New Zealand to China H.E.Mr.Grahame Robert Morton, Ambassador of India to China H.E.Mr. Pradeep Kumar Rawat, Ambassador of Timor-Leste to China H.E. Mr. Abrao Dos Santos, Ambassador of Nepal H.E.Mr.Bishnu Pukar Shrestha, Ambassador of Cameroon to China H.E.Mr. Martin Mpana, and the Coordinator of the United Nations in China H.E. Mr. Chatterjee also attended the event. Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to China H.E. Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot delivered a welcoming address.
阿塔育•习萨目, 1962年生, 美国蒙茅斯学院学士、芝加哥大学理学硕士。2019年11月22日, 习萨目阁下在北京人民大会堂向习近平主席递交国书, 正式就任泰国驻华大使。此前阿塔育•习萨目还曾任泰国驻奥地利大使、泰国驻维也纳联合国和其他国际组织代表等职。
Arthayudh Srisamoot, born in 1962, received his B.A. from Monmouth College and the M.S. from University of Chicago. He formally became as the Thai Ambassador to China on November 22, 2019, when he presented his credentials to President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Previously, he had also served as Thailand's Ambassador to Austria and Thailand's Representative to the United Nations and other international organizations in Vienna.
阿塔育•习萨目在致辞中表示, 我非常高兴能获得泰国国王的恩泽, 任命我担任泰王国驻华大使一职。任职4年, 我深深地感受到中国政府和中国人民的友好, 泰中关系至今发展到了一个新高点。
He also said in his speech that I am very happy to be honored by the King of Thailand by appointing me as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to China. During the four years of my service here, I have deeply felt the friendship of the Chinese government and the Chinese people, and Thailand-China’s relations have reached a new high.
回顾从前, 泰中的友好关系和贸易往来可追溯到700多年前, 中国的风俗文化交融渗透到泰国文化中, 成为现代泰国人生活方式的一部分。目前, 泰国还有许许多多的华裔, 让泰国人民和中国人民如同亲人般亲切熟悉, 于是便有了“中泰一家亲”这样的表达。1975年7月1日, 泰国和中国正式建立外交关系, 可以说是渡过了国际政治竞争相对困难的时代后, 开启了两国关系的新纪元。
Looking back, the friendly relations and trade between Thailand and China were established more than 700 years ago, and Chinese customs and culture have permeated Thai culture and become part of the modern life in Thailand. Currently, there are still many ethnic Chinese in Thailand, making the Thai and Chinese people as close and familiar as family members, hence the expression "China and Thailand are one family". On July 1, 1975, Thailand and China formally established diplomatic relations, which can be said to be a breaking event after a relatively difficult period of international political competitions. Both countries opened a new chapter in the bilateral relations.
在民间交往上, 双方的来往也很密切频繁。尤其是现在, 中国游客非常喜欢去泰国旅游, 已成为泰国最大的游客来源国, 吸引中国游客去泰国旅游的原因除了迷人的旅游景点、美味的泰餐以及独具特色的文化之外, 还有很重要的因素, 那就是泰国人民的微笑和友善的性格, 以及两国人民之间的深情厚谊。
In people-to-people exchanges, the two sides also have very close and frequent connections. Especially now, Chinese tourists like to travel to Thailand and have become the largest source of tourists to Thailand. What attracts Chinese tourists to travel to Thailand is not only the fascinating tourist attractions, delicious Thai food, and unique culture, but also the important factors, which are the smiles of the Thai people and their friendly characters as well as the deep friendship between the two peoples.
初秋的北京, 各界来宾应邀在大使馆出席带有浓郁泰国风情的“大使离任告别”活动, 让现场嘉宾足足过了一把"泰国瘾"。活动现场, 泰国音乐演奏、泰国木琴独奏、泰国传统舞蹈表演……, 独具特色的演出令嘉宾足不出户仍也可感受和领略了"泰国"独特魅力。欣赏完精彩的节目, 嘉宾们还体验泰国提供了丰富的特色美食, 如青木瓜沙拉、香叶西米糕、泰式手打柠檬绿茶、泰式鱼饼、榴莲糯米卷、烤猪颈肉等30余种泰国菜品。在开阔眼界、体验有趣好玩儿的同时, 嘉宾们也能一饱口福, 大家举杯祝福阿塔育•习萨目大使到新的重要的岗位任职, 我们会记住大使在中国这一段难忘时光, 记住大使还担任过中外新闻社大使俱乐部荣誉主席。
In the early-fall Beijing, many diplomats and guests from all walks of life were invited to attend the "Farewell Party" at the Thai Embassy with a strong Thai flavor, which allowed the guests to experience "Thai addictions". During the event, Thai music performance, Thai xylophone solo, Thai traditional dance performance......, unique performances made guests feel and appreciate the unique charm of "Thailand" without going abroad. After enjoying the wonderful programs, guests also experienced the rich selections of Thai cuisines, such as green papaya salad, sago cake with fragrant leaves, Thai handmade lemon green tea, Thai fish cakes, durian sticky rice rolls, grilled pork neck, and more than 30 different kinds of Thai dishes.
