（中外新闻社 中外新闻网记者 班晓旭）2022年3月14日, 应斯里兰卡驻华大使帕利塔•科霍纳阁下邀请, 中外新闻社总裁韦燕、执行社长刘登臣、常务理事班晓旭等前往斯里兰卡驻华大使馆出席锡兰红茶品鉴活动, 共同庆祝中斯两国建交65周年和《米胶协定》签署70周年。
On March 14, 2022, invited by the Sri Lankan Ambassador to China H.E. Dr. Palitha Kohona, Home and Abroad News Press President Wei Yan, Executive Director Liu Dengchen and Managing Direcor Ban Xiaoxu went to Sri Lankan embassy for a promotional event of famous Ceylon black tea and celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Sri Lanka as well as the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Rubber-Rice Agreement.
斯里兰卡驻华大使帕利塔•科霍纳阁下致欢迎辞。他说, 斯中建交65年来, 双方始终相互理解、相互支持, 树立了大小国家友好相处、互利合作的典范。斯中是守望互助的好朋友、共谋发展的好伙伴、相互支持的好兄弟。在致辞中, 帕利塔•科霍纳大使着重介绍了斯里兰卡茶叶种植的历史和锡兰红茶对健康的好处。帕利塔•科霍纳阁下表示, 锡兰红茶也是中国斯里兰卡两国友谊的纽带, 推荐中国人多喝锡兰红茶。
Ambassador Palitha Kohona delivered a welcome speech. He said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and China 65 years ago, the two sides have always understood and supported each other, setting an example of friendly coexistence and mutually beneficial cooperation between large and small countries. Sri Lanka and China are good friends who help each other, good partners for common development, and good brothers who support each other. In his speech, he also focused on the history of tea cultivation in Sri Lanka and the health benefits of Ceylon black tea. He said that Ceylon black tea is also a bond of friendship between China and Sri Lanka, and suggested that Chinese people drink more Ceylon black tea.

根据北京市疫情防控需要, 活动的参加人数被限制在70人以内, 各国驻华使节、中国贸促会、中国茶叶进口商、电商平台、茶叶协会和茶馆代表出席了活动。大家喝着锡兰红茶, 品着斯里兰卡美食、聆听斯里兰卡音乐、观看视频中的斯里兰卡民众生活、感受斯里兰卡人民的友好, 其乐融融, 尽情享受疫情下的生活闲情。
According to the city’s pandemic control, the number of participants in the event was limited to 70 people. Many representatives from various countries, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Chinese tea importers, e-commerce platforms, tea associations and teahouses attended the event. All guests tasted the Ceylon black tea and delicious Sri Lankan food with traditional Sri Lankan music. We all felt the friendship of the Sri Lankan people and their relaxing life under the COVID pandemic.
