On August 12, 2022, the Chinese Media Seminar on Thai Culture and Tourism was held in Chengde, an international tourist city in Hebei. Invited by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to China H.E. Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot, President of Home and Abroad News Press Mrs. Wei Yan and Executive Director Mr. Liu Dengchen and more than 30 Chinese media reporters attended the event. At the seminar, Ambassador Srisamoot said in his welcome speech to the media friends: "Before the pandemic, Thailand was one of the most popular countries for Chinese tourists with more than 10 million Chinese visitors every year. I sincerely hope that when the international travel policy is eased, more Chinese friends will continue to choose Thailand to travel.”
泰国国家旅游局北京办事处处长潘可楠以“2023 年市场营销战略计划”为主题发表主旨演讲。潘可楠处长说：“泰国已经做好了充分的安全保障和公共卫生保障措施，欢迎世界各地的游客来泰国旅游，特别是期待中国游客赴泰。”
Mr. Pan Konan, Director of the Beijing Office of the National Tourism Administration of Thailand, delivered a keynote speech on the theme of "2023 Marketing Strategic Plan". The Tourism Authority of Thailand has designated 2022-2023 as the “Year of Tourism in Thailand” with the theme of "Amazing Thailand, Amazing New Chapters". The purpose of the event held by the Royal Thai Embassy in China is to further strengthen the connections with the Chinese media. It is hoped that Chinese media will promote Thailand to more Chinese friends from different layers and perspectives.
会议结束后，媒体代表团同泰王国驻华大使阿塔育•习萨目阁下等参观了河北省重要的历史旅游景点——避暑山庄。
After the meeting, Ambassador Srisamoot and the media delegation visited the Chengde Mountain Resort, an important historical tourist attraction in Hebei Province.
