The Embassy of the Tunisia in China celebrated its 55th National Day on March 21st. More than 300 guests, including Vice Foreign Minister Li Jinzhang, former Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia Li Beifen, Turkish Ambassador to China Murat Salim Esenli, Jordanian ambassador to China Mr. Anmar Al Hmoud, Omani Ambassador to China Abdullah Saleh Al Saadi, Barbados Ambassador to China Sir Lloyd Erskine Sandiford, numerous ambassadors and friendly people from all walks of life, attended this event. Tunisian ambassador to China Mohamed Adel Smaoui and embassy staff welcomed distinguished Chinese and foreign guests at the main gate. Journalists of Home and broad News Press were invited to participate.

Also it’s bounded by Libya to the southeast, Algeria to the west. Tunisia is one of the few countries in the world that have coast, desert, forest and ancient civilization. Tunisia is located at the center of Mediterranean area, with 1,300 kilometers of coastline. Tunisia is honored as a splendid land blending ancient civilization and multi-culture.

Tunisian Ambassador to China Mohamed Adel Smaoui said before in an early interview by Home and Abroad News and Press. “I am a new Ambassador to China, I presented my credentials to President Hu Jintao in the People’s Great Hall not long ago. China has stable political environment, rapid economic growth and wonderful citizens which all left a deep impression in my mind. The relationships between China and Arab, African countries are very important. We would like to establish a new cooperation platform to improve economic development for both China and Tunisia.
