（中外新闻网记者 张珈闻 ）三月的北京，玉兰芬芳，美酒飘香。在全国人民欢庆“两会”胜利闭幕之即，迎来了中外新闻社创立15周年纪念日子。3月18日晚上，中外新闻社在北京天伦王朝酒店二楼国际会议厅举行中外新闻社创立15周年庆典、2015《中外新闻》时代新闻人物颁奖典礼,承载光荣与梦想、续写精彩与传奇。
Spring came to earth and restored all living beings. After the successful closure of the two national congresses, the NPC and the CPPCC, Home and Abroad News Press had its 15th birthday celebration in Beijing. In the evening of March 18th, the 15th Anniversary Ceremony of Home and Abroad News Press and Award Ceremony of 2015 "The News Person of the Year" were held at the International Conference Hall in Beijing Sunworld Dynasty Hotel. The meaningful event is loaded with glory and dreams, and it continues excellence and legend of Home and Abroad News Press.

联合国附属机构北北合作组织首席新闻官、中外新闻社总裁韦燕首先致欢迎辞。她说，2天前，举世瞩目的十二届全国人大四次会议、全国政协十二届四次会议胜利闭幕，我们在采访中见证了伟大祖国又在崭新的年轮中阔步迈向新的征程。今天，我们把不同肤色、不同语言、不同声音、不同宗教各国驻华大使、媒体记者、新闻官与我们汇聚一堂，共同回顾“两会”现场盛况，祝福伟大的中国繁荣昌盛。
The Chief Information Officer of United Nations North-North Network, the President of Home and Abroad News Press, Mrs. Wei Yan gave the welcome speech. She said: “The remarkable national congresses just completed two days ago, we witnessed the new rapid development phase of our great month land. Today, we are together to not only share the joy of the great development achievements of our motherland, but also move forward to another new journey of the bright future. Today, we are gathering together with different skin colors, different languages, different voices and different religions with foreign ambassadors to China, media friends, press officers, friends and guests to celebrate and wish for a more prosperous and stronger China in the future!

At the banquet, on the behalf of the Board of Directors, the Council, the Administrative Committee and 49 regional offices and information centers around the world, Mrs. Wei deeply appreciated all guests’ participation and supports. Mrs. Wei continued that the success of Home and Abroad News Press is built on innovative business model, top-performance talented employees, exploratory encouragement and systematic management. 韦燕在致词中说，2011年5月6日，国务院港澳办“港审联字[2011] 537号”文批准，中外新闻社北京记者站正式成立。自此，中外新闻社立足北京，展开与各外国驻华使馆及中国各部委办、各商会、各大财团、著名大学等紧密合作。2012年10月13日，中国传媒大学与中外新闻社结为战略合作伙伴关系，中外新闻社驻中国传媒大学工作室揭牌仪式于在中国传媒大学39号楼举行。双方认为：此次合作正是应对时代挑战的选择，对促进传媒业发展，培养造就更多的高素质传媒人才，提升中国传播能力有着不可估量的作用。
Mrs. Wei also mentioned in her speech that "Home and Abroad News Press Beijing Office was opened on May 6th 2011 with the official approval from Hong Kong and Macao Office of the State Council. Since then, Home and Abroad New Press established a solid base in Mainland China and started building closer connections with foreign embassies, various Chinese governmental departments, business association, financial institutions and many top universities and such. On October 13th 2012, Home and Abroad News Press and Communication University of China established the strategic partnership, and Home and Abroad News Press also opened a local office in the Communication University of China. Through this partnership, both organizations achieved consensus to train more high-quality media talents to response to the challenges of today’s media industry and enhance Chinese external communication in the global platform.
韦燕最后说，李克强总理在今年的政府工作报告中谈到：深化中外人文交流，加强国际传播能力建设。今天我们怀揣“中国梦”站在世界媒体前沿，思考着如何利用中外新闻社外交资源和人才资源，创新改革思路，拓宽发展空间，以全球化视野和国际化眼光，积极推进中外的传媒合作。
At the end, she mentioned that "In Premier Li’s government work report this year, it emphasized on strengthening the ability of international communication and improving the soft power of Chinese culture. In fact, Home and Abroad News Press always explores possible ways to engage diplomatic resources with global connections, improve Chinese talent pools, innovate the reformation and development concepts and promote the media collaboration between Chinese and overseas media channels."

In today’s multicultural global society, Home and Abroad News Press has been designated as the mainstream media by three United Nation associated organizations.
