VoIP technology, USB technology, wireless digital home interface technology, laser projection keyboard technology, irrigation technology and the famous map navigation application Waze etc.All of them made great impacts to the world, and they were created in Israel. A country with only 8.3 million people, the number of companies listed on NASDAQ is after U.S.A and China. How should young people communicate to exchange their own culture and how to stimulate innovative thinking? Our junior journalists took many questions to the Israeli Consulate General in Guangzhou. On January 24th, "Witness Friendship" 2017 Winter Home & Abroad News Press Junior Journalist Delegation interviewed with the Israeli Consul General in Guangzhou,Mr. Nadav Cohen.

“南可安总领事你好！首先祝你和你的家人新年快乐。2016年11月9日，你带领你的团队访问广东汕头大学，表示全力支持创办 “广东以色列理工学院”，全力推动以色列高校与汕头大学的学术交流与合作。可见你对两国教育的交流极为重视，你认为：中以两国学生应该如何交流本国文化?谢谢。”小记者问。
“Hello Consul General Mr. Nadav Cohen. First of all, we wish you and your family happy new year. On November 9th 2016, you led your team visited Guangdong Shantou University to show your full support to establish “Israel Institute of Technology in Guangdong” so that the Israeli universities and Shantou University could explore more academic exchange and cooperation. From this event, we can see that you have attached great importance to the youth and students’ exchange between the two countries. In your opinions, what should Chinese and Russian students do to promote exchanges with their own culture?” a junior journalist asked.

“以色列一直以来对教育非常重视。因为犹太人去一个新地方，就要学会生存下来的本领。2015年4月9日，广东以色列理工学院正式获得中国教育部批准筹设，这是以色列高校与中国高校教育合作的典范。广东以色列理工学院有300名招生计划，这对两国学生交流本国文化非常有利。在广州 “中以生物研发基金”组织有5位，4位来自以色列，1位来自中国。中国和以色列历史上没有发生过战争，希望两国青少年能够为两国和平友好关系做出贡献。” 南可安总领事回答。
“Israel has always attached great importance to education. Because when Jewish people go to a new place, they have to learn how to survive.On April 9th2015, the Israel Institute of Technology in Guangdongwas officially approved by the Ministry of Education of China, which is a model of higher education cooperation between Israel and China. Israel Institute of Technology in Guangdonghas an initial plan to enroll 300 students, which will provide more opportunities to exchange their own culture between the two countries and their students. In Guangzhou, “China and Israel R & D Fund” has five organizations, including four from Israel and one from China. There has been no war in the history between China and Israel. We hope that the young people of both countries can contribute to the peace and friendship between the two countries.”Mr. Nadav Cohen answered.

有小记者问：“南可安总领事你好！随着“太库以色列中国创新中心”的成立，你认为：我们青少年应该如何激发创新思维?
Another journalist asked: “Hello Consul General Mr. Nadav Cohen. With the new TechCode Israel-China Innovation Center in China, in your opinions, how will the youth and students get inspired for creative thinking and innovation?”

总领事谈到，太库以色列中国创新中心是太库全球创新网络的又一新布局，此前已在全球主要创新城市北京、上海、深圳、河北、硅谷、韩国首尔、德国柏林等地建立了孵化培育体系。该中心已成为“中以创新加速器”。向你介绍以色列学生，他们高中毕业后强制性参军，所以他们会学到很多技能，想得快、做得快，有时也有草率或错误发生，但是都可以做到迅速解决。
The Consul General said that the TechCode Israel-China Innovation Center is a new layout of Israeli global innovation network. Prior to this project, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hebei, Silicon Valley, Berlin Germany, Seoul South Korea and other main global location already established similar centers. The center has become an innovation accelerator to inspire young people's innovative thinking. Israeli students have to join the army after graduating from high so that they can learn a lot of skills, quick thinking and fast reactions.

“你好，请问以色列小学生一年有几个假期？以色列的小朋友是怎样过儿童节的？”小记者问。
“How many holidays do the Israeli children have every year? How will Israeli kids celebrate the Children’s Day and their festival holidays?”

“以色列的儿童每一年有6-9个重要假期。全年小学生可以放假184天，儿童都能得到精美的礼品，家长借以鼓舞儿童，使他们感到自己伟大、幸福和欢乐，也希望社会人士重视和爱护儿童。” 总领事介绍说。
“Israeli children normally have 6-9 important holidays each year, which means they could enjoy up to 184 days of holiday time. Parents give precious gifts to their children to encourage and inspire them; therefore, the Israeli students feel that they are great, important and happy while growing up. Also, we really attach great importance to protect children in our country.” The Consul General replied.

以色列国家没有石油、没有森林，有的只是大脑的智慧。小记者在以色列驻广州总领馆采访收获很大，纷纷表示：从小要好好学习科学本领，为未来的辉煌发展打下良好基础。
Israel is a nation without petroleum or forest, but it has full of intelligence and creativity. The junior journalists really learned a lot from the Israeli Consulate in Guangzhou, and they expressed that they will study hard and prepare for their bright future with strong foundations.

离别时，南可安总领事和小记者们互相赠送礼物，宾主双方致以新年的祝福。
Before leaving the consulate, Mr. Nadav Cohen and junior journalists exchanged the gifts and wished Happy Chinese New Year with each other.
