When starting the interview, a junior journalist asked: “Hello Mr. Ambassador, thank you very much for accepting our interview! China and Rwanda are far away from each other, and the two countries have their own unique cultures; therefore, the cultural exchange seems very important in the bilateral relations. As the Ambassador to China, how will you promote the communication and cooperation between China and Rwanda during your term here in Beijing?”

“Republic of Rwanda is in Eastern Africa, which is one of the least developed countries in the world according to the United Nations reports. We want to ask you about the education system in Rwanda? Are the students able to complete their study during their school time?” a junior journalist asked.
Ambassador Kayonga said that Rwanda attaches great importance to education by making focus investments into all-level education. It continually selects and hires excellent teachers all over the world to come to teach in Rwanda. Now primary and secondary primary school students have already used computers in their learning, and the government ensures that primary and secondary education is provided to all of its students.
“You have incredible diplomatic career success, which impressed us very much. We want to ask you: what are your interests in spare time? How do you educate your own child?”
“I enjoy swimming and traveling, play table tennis after work. I also like to read magazines, get more information about China and see what information can help Rwanda. I have three children, two boys studying in the United States and my daughter is 15 years old. We often learn about Chinese culture together, we all like China.”
