（中外新闻社 北京报道）斯里兰卡有“宝石王国”、“印度洋上的明珠”的美称，被马可•波罗认为是最美丽的岛屿。斯里兰卡是英联邦成员国之一。中国和斯里兰卡两国友好交往历史悠久。两千多年以来，两国人民的友好往来从未间断。今年迎来了中斯建交60周年纪念。8月2日下午，“见证友谊”--中外新闻社小记者2017暑期采访团前往斯里兰卡驻华大使馆采访卡鲁纳塞纳•科迪图瓦大使阁下。
Sri Lanka is known as the “GemKingdom” and the “Pearl on the Indian Ocean”. It was called the most beautiful islandby Marco Polo. Sri Lanka was a member of the British Commonwealth. The friendly exchanges between China and Sri Lanka have a long history. For more than 2,000 years, the friendship between the two peoples has never stopped. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Sri Lanka. On the afternoon of August 2, “Witness Friendship” 2017 Summer Home & Abroad News Press Junior Journalist Delegation visited the Sri Lankan embassy and has exclusive interview with the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to China, H.E. Mr. Karunasena Kodituwakku.
科迪图瓦大使曾担任过斯里兰卡国家教育、人力资源发展部部长，斯里兰卡驻韩国大使、朝鲜大使、蒙古国大使等5国大使，具有丰富的外交经验，我们很幸运，他欣然能接受我们小记者采访。
Ambassador Kodituwakkuhas served as various positions in the Minister of Education and Human Resources Development of Sri Lanka as well as the Sri Lankan ambassadorto South Korea, North Korea, Mongolia and other 5 countries. He has rich diplomatic experience. It was a true honor for our junior journalists to have such interview opportunity with the ambassador.
“你好大使先生！我们小记者有机会采访您很高兴。古代中国和斯里兰卡在政治、经济和文化方面都有着频繁的交往,其中文化交流在两国关系中占有重要地位,你认为:我们青少年应该如何以文化为载体,传承中斯两国的友谊? 谢谢！”
“Hello, Mr. Ambassador. Thank you very much for giving us this opportunity to have this exclusive interview with you. China and Sri Lanka had frequent and close connections in political, cultural and economic fields since the ancient times. Particularly, cultural exchanges between the two countries play an important role in the bilateral relations. In your opinions, as teenagers in the two countries, how will we continue developing the traditional friendship between China and Sri Lanka?”
科迪图瓦大使谈到，斯里兰卡愿同中国加强文化、教育、科技交流，我们将鼓励更多斯里兰卡青少年来华深造，中国青少年也可以选择到斯里兰卡学习，斯方愿与中方探讨在斯建立联合研发和教育基地，在联合办学、共同研究等方面展开合作，为两国青少年传承友谊提供坚强后盾。
Ambassador Kodituwakkusaid that Sri Lanka is willing to strengthen exchanges on culture, education, science and technology with China. We will encourage more Sri Lankan teenagers to come to China for higher education. Chinese young people may also choose to study in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is willing to discuss with China to establish a joint R&D and education base to cooperate in joint schooling and joint research. This will provide strong foundation to promote and develop friendship between young people of both countries.
小记者问大使：“孔子学院已经成为各国人民学习汉语，进而了解中国文化，推动和增进民间友谊的重要桥梁。请问大使先生：目前斯里兰卡有多少所孔子学院？孔子学院在斯里兰卡发挥了哪些重要作用？谢谢!”
“Confucius Institute has become an important bridge for people to learn Chinese language, understand Chinese culture, promote and enhance civil friendship. May I ask Ambassador: how many Confucius Institutes are currently in Sri Lanka? What role does Confucius Institute play in Sri Lanka?”
科迪图瓦大使说，斯里兰卡凯拉尼亚大学孔子学院于2007年成立，是斯里兰卡的第一所孔子学院。斯里兰卡科伦坡大学孔子学院2016年12月30日正式揭牌，这是在斯里兰卡设立的第二所孔子学院。孔子学院是中斯文明交流互鉴的桥梁，是中国同斯里兰卡深化友谊的纽带，为促进中斯友好关系发挥积极作用。
Ambassador Kodituwakkusaid that the Confucius Institute at Keilahya Universitywas established in 2007 as the first Confucius Institute in Sri Lanka. The Confucius Institute at Colombo University was officially opened on December 30, 2016, that is the second Confucius Institute in Sri Lanka. Confucius Institute is a bridge forexchanging the Chinese and Sri Lankan civilizations, and it also plays an important role to deepen China and Sri Lanka’s friendship and promote the friendly relations between China and Sri Lanka.
“我们从网上看到，斯里兰卡在自然风景、 生物种类方面居世界前列, 这里有联合国教科文组织认定的 8 个世界遗产地, 被认作是具有丰富文化遗产的国度。请大使先生谈谈斯里兰卡的文化和旅游?谢谢！”
“We learnt from the Internet, Sri Lanka ranks the first place in the world for its natural scenery and biological species. There are eight World Heritage sites recognized by the UNESCO, and it is considered as a country with rich cultural heritage. Could you please briefly introduce about Sri Lanka's culture and tourism to us?”
大使首先肯定这是一个很好的问题。他向小记者们介绍斯里兰卡拥有8项世界遗产，其中文化遗产7项，自然遗产1项。这个国度的风景与神秘文化无法用语言表达，需要小记者们亲身经历才能了解。
The ambassador said that this is a good question, and then he detailly introduced the eight World Heritage sites in Sri Lanka, including seven cultural heritage and onenatural heritage. The sceneries and mysterious culture of this country cannot be expressed in words, we may have to physically go there to experience ourselves so that we can have the full understanding about its precious and unique culture heritages.
小记者了解到斯里兰卡是节假日最多的国家，问到斯里兰卡的传统节日与旅游的最佳时间时，科迪图瓦库大使告诉我们，节假日众多是因为各个民族宗教信仰决定。国家有众多种群，政府十分尊重各个民族节日。他自豪的告诉我们斯里兰卡四季如春，因此每天都是到斯旅游的季节。
A junior journalist asked about Sri Lanka is the country with the most holidays in the world and when is the best time to visit Sri Lanka. Ambassador Kodituwakkutold us that many holidays are due to the religious beliefs of different ethnic groups. The country has a large population, and the government highly respects every holiday from thedifferent ethnic groups and beliefs. He is proud to tell us that the four seasons in Sri Lanka are always like the spring, we can go there and visit any time.
提问环节过后，小记者向大使先生赠送精心准备的礼物，其中一幅画是来自深圳外国语学校的小记者王妙倪和王震邦创作的，画面上一个中国女孩和一个斯里兰卡女孩，她们背靠背仰望蓝天沉思，此画取名：梦想—庆祝中国和斯里兰卡建交60周年！
After completing the interview questions, the junior journalists presented their gifts to the ambassador. One of the paintings was created by Vitoria Wang and her brother Wang Zhengbang. This painting shows a Chinese girl and a Sri Lankan girl sit back to back and looked up to the blue sky, naming “Dreams” - Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Sri Lanka!
王妙倪向大使诠释这幅画的含义时，表达了中国青少年期待同斯里兰卡青少年在一起，为传承中斯两国的友谊贡献智慧。斯里兰卡大使接过画，特别感谢王妙倪和王震邦小记者，感谢他们向斯里兰卡国家奉献的宝贵友谊，作为回报，斯里兰卡大使也为小记者们提供了美味的斯里兰卡小吃、饮品。合影时，宾主双方欢呼：中斯友谊万岁！
When explaining the meaning of this painting to the ambassador, Victoria expressed her wishes to make more Chineseand Sri Lankan children hand-in-hand, we can contribute our wisdom to carry on China and Sri Lanka’s friendship with our dreams.When the ambassador took over the painting, he thanked Vitoria and Wang Zhengbang. He also appreciated the precious friendship between China and Sri Lanka. In return, the ambassador provided delicious Sri Lankan snacks and drinks to all junior journalists. When taking the group photos, everyone cheered up for the everlasting friendship between China and Sri Lanka.
