1月23日下午2点，“见证友谊”中外新闻社小记者团来到以色列驻华使馆采访。小记者到访时，经过安全检查后来到宽敞的会议厅。大使马腾先生进来会见大家时，小记者们报以热烈地掌声，采访活动由于大使马腾先生和小记者团团长韦燕女士共同主持。
2pm January 23rd, "Witnessing friendship"2014 Winter Home and Abroad News Press Junior Journalist Delegation arrived the Israel Embassy for a scheduled interview. After passing the security checks, we came to a large meeting room. The Ambassador to China H.E. Mr. Matan Vilnai welcomed us, and we clapped our hands with excitement to greet him as well. The interview was co-hosted by H.E. Mr. Matan Vilnai and our team leader Mrs. Wei Yan.
“你好大使先生，作为以色列驻华大使，请你谈谈你对中国的印象。”小记者问。
To initiate the interview, our junior journalist asked an introductory question: “Dear Ambassador, as an ambassador to China from Israel, could you share your impression of China with us?"

“我到中国任大使前，我担任以色列国家体育部部长，所以我到中国，我发现中国体育很强，中国在奥运会上得到很多奖牌。中国不仅仅是一个国家，中国其实是一个洲--亚洲，我到过中国的二十多个城市，看到大家都在努力的工作，以此来改善自己的命运。所以中国发展很快。”马腾大使说。
H.E. Mr. Matan Vilnai answered that prior to my term as the Ambassador to China; I was the Minister of the National Sports Department. After arriving China, I found a strong sporting environment and many great athletes in China who won countless gold medals from various competitions and games. China is not just a country, it is indeed a continent - Asia. I have been to over two dozen cities in China; I can see that the Chinese people are very hard working for improving their destiny. As a result, China has experienced rapid development in many areas."
以色列国家没有石油、没有森林，有的只是大脑的智慧。小记者问：”犹太人为什么那么聪明？”马腾大使微笑说：“这个问题是没有答案的，我们有时候也是自己问自己，但是没有答案。”
Israel is a nation without petroleum or forest, but it has full of intelligence and creativity. Our junior journalists asked:"Why are Jews so smart?" The Ambassador smiled and said: "There is no answer to this question, we sometimes also aske the same question to ourselves but we couldn’t get the answer as well."

再过9个小时将迎来中国和以色列建交22周年纪念日，东莞市南开实验小学6-1班刘泓晖同学将自己精心创作“同在蓝天下--庆祝中国和以色列建交22周年”儿童画赠送给以色列驻华大使马腾先生，画中是一个中国儿童和一个以色列儿童手拉手挥动两国国旗兴高采烈地相聚在小草、花丛中……主题：“同在蓝天下”，此举受到以色列驻华大使及大使馆全体外交官的高度评价。
The next day is the 22nd anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Israel. A junior journalist, Liu Honghui, from Dongguan city presented his own painting "Under the Same Blue Sky in celebration of the 22nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Israel" to the Ambassador. This artwork pictured a Chinese child and an Israeli child holding hands and waving their national flags under a beautiful and peaceful sky.... The Ambassador and fellow diplomats were very happy to receive this special gift with such great meanings and praised the boy for his talent.

小记者的提问的问题获得了以色列驻华使馆文化参赞柯智凯、新闻发言人潘立文等外交官的高度评价。采访结束，小记者们向大使赠送新年礼物，品尝使馆给小记者们准备的以色列美食和饮品等。
The Cultural Counsellor Mr. Zvika Ziv, and Press Spokesperson Mr. Ran Peleg were very impressed by our junior journalists during the interview. At the end of our interview, the delegation presented small gifts to the diplomats to wish them a happy new year in China. The embassy thoughtfully prepared delicious Israeli cuisine and drinks for us. We enjoyed every moment in this lovely afternoon.
