Greece is located at the southern tip of the Balkan Peninsula in southeastern Europe. It is known as the birthplace of Western civilization. It has a long history and has had a significant impact on the historical development of three continents. Greece created the ancient and modern Olympic Games and made important contributions to world peace. The birthplace of the Olympic Games, originated in ancient Greece, named after Olympia. The Olympic Games is the most influential sporting event in the world, organized by the International Olympic Committee. China and Greece are both ancient civilizations. The exchanges and cooperation between the two countries have long-history background with a solid foundation of public opinions, setting a role model for the international community in civilization development.

马提诺斯•曼达里蒂斯先生首先向小记者介绍希腊国家的基本情况：古希腊是西方文明的源头之一, 古希腊文明是西方文明最重要和直接的渊源。西方有记载的文学、科技、艺术都是从古代希腊开始的。古希腊位于欧洲的东南部、地中海的东北部, 包括希腊半岛、爱琴海和爱奥尼亚海上的群岛和岛屿、土耳其西南沿岸、意大利东部和西西里岛东部沿岸地区。
Mr. Martinos Mandalidis first introduced some basic information about Greece to the junior journalists. Ancient Greece was one of the sources of Western civilization. Ancient Greek civilization was the most important and direct source of Western civilization. Literature, technology, and art recorded in the West are all began with Ancient Greece. Ancient Greece was located in southeastern Europe, the northeastern Mediterranean, including the Greek peninsula, archipelagos and islands in the Aegean and Ionian Seas, the southwestern coast of Turkey, eastern Italy, and the eastern coast of Sicily.

Mr. Martinos Mandalidis said that the first time I saw you today, I felt very close with you because Olympic athletes are often trained from young ages. "Faster, Higher, Stronger" shows a competitive spirit of daring to challenge, constantly surpassing, and bravely reaching new heights. Young people like you are just like the sun at eight or nine o'clock in the morning, full of vigor and energy. This world belongs to all of you. Resolution 48/11, adopted by the United Nations on October 25, 1993, called on Member States to observe the Olympic Truce from seven days before the opening of the Games to seven days after the closing ceremony.

马提诺斯•曼达里蒂斯先生谈到, 萨洛尼卡是欧洲文明的重要发源地, 是希腊北方工业重镇, 东莞是中国珠三角中心城市之为“广东四小虎”之首, 号称“世界工厂”。两城市发挥区位优势以及经济、文化特色, 在教育等方面有多个交流与合作。2021年10月21日, 中国—希腊高等教育交流合作咨询委员会举行成立仪式, 中国高度重视并多次向世界宣布将持续扩大教育对外开放, 以多种方式加强高等教育国际化, 为青年一代的友好交往搭建了平台, 为今后中希高校间更加深入和广泛的合作开启新篇章。
Mr. Martinos Mandalidis mentioned that Thessaloniki is an important birthplace of European civilization and an important industrial city in northern Greece. Dongguan is the central city in the Pearl River Delta of China and is the first of the “Four Tigers of Guangdong”, known as the “The Factory of the World”. Taking advantage of their location benefits and their economic and cultural characteristics, the two cities have many exchanges and cooperation in education and other fields. On October 21, 2021, the China-Greece Higher Education Exchange and Cooperation Advisory Committee held the inauguration ceremony. China attaches great importance to the education field and has repeatedly announced to the world that it will continue to expand education to the outside world and strengthen the internationalization of higher education in many ways. It has built a platform for the friendly exchanges between the young generations and opened a new chapter for more in-depth and extensive cooperation between Chinese and Greek educational institutes in the future.

Greece is a fascinating country with rich tourism resources. Greece has become an important destination for Chinese citizens to travel abroad. Mr. Martinos Mandalidis communicated with the junior journalists on the culture and tourism of Greece. He said that Greece is the cradle of European civilization and the connection point of Eastern and European cultures. The long and priceless civilization has left a splendid cultural heritage to future generations for Greeks and all mankind. The development of Greek culture can be roughly divided into three stages: the Myth and Epic period, the Classical period, and the Hellenistic period. The Classical period was the heyday of Greek culture, which produced many poems, succeeding immortal works such as Homer's Epics.”
马提诺斯•曼达里蒂斯总领事最后说, 促进希中两国交流具有举足轻重的意义, 中希两国可以从文化角度入手开展合作。希腊驻广州总领事馆将会密切与广东及大湾区合作, 增进希腊与中国的互相了解、合作、发展。
After the end, Consul General Martinos Mandalidis said that it is of great significance to promote exchanges between Greece and China, and both countries can start the cultural cooperation first. 采访结束, 小记者们纷纷把自己创作的书画作品、小手工工艺品、家乡的特产等礼物赠送给马提诺斯•曼达里蒂斯总领事, 希腊的外交官也向小记者们回赠了礼物, 小记者在马提诺斯•曼达里蒂斯总领事官邸还享用了美食和饮料, 临别小记者同马提诺斯•曼达里蒂斯总领事合影留念, 小记者挥动两国国旗, 高喊：中希友谊万岁!
At the end of the interview, the junior journalists presented their own paintings, calligraphy works, small handicrafts, local specialties and other gifts to Consul General Martinos Mandalidis. the consulate diplomats also gave Greek gifts to the junior journalists.
