尼泊尔馆将回顾加德满都的发展历程,展现其两千余年历史中作为建筑、艺术、文化中心的几个辉煌时刻,加德满都古都正在发生的城市的发展与扩张,以及自然与环境保护方面的机遇与挑战。7月23日下午,受世博会尼泊尔馆馆长Kedar M.Shakya邀请,中外新闻社小记者前往世博园亚洲区的尼泊尔馆采访采。
Nepal Pavilion recaptures important historic periods in its greater than 2,000-year development as a center for architecture, art, and culture. It also depicts the current urban expansion in Kathmandu, shedding light on the opportunities and challenges in environment protection and development of renewable energies. Invited by the curator of the Nepal Pavilion, Mr. Kedar M.Shakya, junior journalists of Home and Abroad News Press headed to interview Nepal Pavilion which located on Zone A of the Expo site on July 23th afternoon.
踏入尼泊尔馆,我们看到:尼泊尔的能工巧匠将尼泊尔的艺术思想和装饰材料完全融入到整个场馆的建设和布局中,其中包括用木料、金属、砖片、瓷料和石料加工而成的约500吨展品和装饰品。尼泊尔馆的展品和装饰品都是用纯手工工艺制作的,木雕、陶塑上都有非常精美的图案,由约350户尼泊尔家庭耗时近两年时间完成,一些尼泊尔的能工巧匠亲临上海工地,亲手为尼泊尔馆添上艺术之笔。
When entering Nepal Pavilion,we saw that incorporating Nepalese artistic tradition and innovation decoration ideas into its construction and exhibition. The pavilion uses about 500 tons of materials including wood, metal, bricks, porcelain and stone for exhibition and decoration items, all of which are handmade.Wood and clay sculptures feature exquisite patterns, which have taken about two years for 350 Nepalese families to complete. Some skilled craftsmen came to the building site in Shanghai to add finishing touches to the pavilion.
Kedar M.Shakya馆长介绍说,尼泊尔首都加德满都是一座“寺庙之城”。而尼泊尔馆的主题正是希望通过加德满都,为城市寻找灵魂,探索它的过去及未来。
Kedar M.Shakya introduced that Kathmandu City is a city of Buddhist pagoda, and its theme touches upon the soul of a city by exploring its past and future.
在采访中,小记者们了解到,主题为“加德满都城的故事——寻找城市的灵魂;探索与思考”的尼泊尔国家馆,截取了首都加德满都在两千余年历史中,作为建筑、艺术、文化中心的几个辉煌时刻,通过建筑形式的演变来展现城市的发展与扩张。
During the interview, junior journalists learned that the pavilion whose theme is "Tales of Kathmandu City—Seeking the Soul of a City; Exploration and Speculation", put on display the luster of Katmandu, the capital city of Nepal and an architectural, artistic and cultural center that has developed over 2,000 years.
尼泊尔展馆的另一个亮点,突出了尼泊尔在环保、可再生能源和绿色建筑等方面所做出的努力。
Another highlight of the pavilion is Nepal's efforts in environmental protection and developing renewable energies.

The pavilion curator Kedar M.Shakya said that sightseeing and interviewing will be welcomed, and hope to promote the culture exchange between China and Nepal.
