World famous city --- Austria’s capital city Vienna, Chinese President Hu Jintao went to Austria for a state visit. Vienna witnesses the precious friendship between China and Austria once again. President Hu Jintao visited Austria at the 40th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which is a significant milestone for both countries especially during the anniversary celebrations. October 31st, President Fischer delivered a welcome speech at the opening ceremony.
国家主席胡锦涛３１日在维也纳同奥地利总统菲舍尔举行会谈。两国元首就双边关系及共同关心的问题深入交换意见，达成重要共识。
President Hu Jintao met with Austrian President Heinz Fischer during the conference. The two leaders exchanged views and common concerns on bilateral relations and reached important consensus.
胡锦涛指出，当前，中奥关系发展势头良好。两国领导人交往频繁，双方贸易、投资、科技、人文等领域交流合作持续扩大、成果丰硕。中国已成为奥地利在欧洲之外的最大贸易伙伴。双方在联合国等多边组织和国际事务中也保持着良好沟通和协调。
President Hu said China and Austria relationship has maintained good momentum. Frequent visits among the two countries’ leaders and deepening cooperation in bilateral trade, foreign investment, technology and culture exchanges greatly achieved fruitful results. China has become Austria's largest trading partner outside Europe. Both countries also maintained sound communication and coordination in the UN related and other international affairs.
菲舍尔表示，胡锦涛主席在两国建交４０周年之际对奥地利进行国事访问意义重大，标志着两国庆祝建交４０周年活动达到高潮。建交４０年来，奥中两国关系发展非常良好，双边交流合作进展顺利，奥方对两国关系取得的进展感到满意。
President Fischer said that President Hu Jintao pays a state visit to Austria at the 40th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, marking a new height in the bilateral relationship. In the past 40 years, Austria and China kept good friendship and partnership. Austria is extremely satisfied with the current relationship development status.
胡锦涛强调，中方重视发展同奥地利的关系，愿同奥方一道努力，把中奥友好合作关系推向更高水平，他就此提出４点建议。
President Hu stressed that China attaches great importance to developing relations with Austria, the Austrian is willing to work together to enhance the friendly cooperative relations to a higher level, he also made four proposals for future improvements.
菲舍尔完全赞同胡锦涛关于发展两国关系的重要意见，表示奥方愿意同中方保持频繁密切的接触和交流，拓展两国经贸合作，特别是扩大双向投资，发挥各自地缘优势，共同开发中东欧及亚洲市场。奥方积极支持欧盟承认中国完全市场经济地位。希望加强两国文化、科技、旅游合作，保持和扩大双方在联合国及多边领域合作。
President Fischer fully agreed with President Hu’s proposals and said that Austria is ready to work with China to maintain close contact and exchanges, expand economic and trade cooperation, promote mutual investment, especially discover Eastern European and Asian markets given the geographic advantages. Austria fully supports China's full market economy status and hopes to strengthen bilateral cultural, technological and tourism cooperation in multiple dimensional international society.
会谈前，胡锦涛出席菲舍尔为他举行的欢迎仪式，并和夫人刘永清礼节性会见菲舍尔总统和夫人。会谈结束后，两国元首出席两国有关合作文件签字仪式，并共同会见记者。
Prior to the conference, President Hu attended a welcoming ceremony organized by President Fischer. After the conference, both leaders and other officials attended the signing ceremony of cooperation agreements between the two countries, then jointly met with reporters.
在奥地利，胡锦涛在菲舍尔总统陪同下参观了奥地利国家图书馆，胡锦涛主席夫妇和菲舍尔总统夫妇还一同来到农庄，奥地利著名民族乐手前来助兴，用手风琴和低音角号奏响《阿波湖农夫》等欢快的乐曲。
In Austria, President Hu Jintao visited the Austrian National Library and came to a farm with his wife and Mr. and Mrs. Fischer. Some famous Austrian national musicians performed country music and made cozy aspects for all guests.
11月1日傍晚，胡锦涛主席在菲舍尔总统陪同下来到马可特广场8号，参观莫扎特故居。作为对中国贵宾的款待，莫扎特基金会主席霍恩西格在莫扎特用过的钢琴上演奏莫扎特第265号作品《C大调变奏曲》，8岁小姑娘用莫扎特儿时使用的小提琴演奏歌剧《魔笛》选段“这个声音如此动听，如此美妙”……

In Salzburg, Mozart's music is everywhere; the friendship between China and Austria will continue and only become better and deeper.
